How Kundalini Kumbhak Opens Power, Healing, and Stillness

Background

In this discourse, Guru Sanju reveals the deeper science of Kumbhak, breath retention, Kundalini, healing, and the awakening of inner power. She teaches that breath is not only a physical function but a powerful energetic tool that influences the brain, nervous system, prana, inflammation, stem cells, chakras, and consciousness.

She guides her student into a deeper understanding of external Kumbhak and internal Kumbhak, explaining how each affects the body and energy field differently. External Kumbhak brings energy toward the upper chakras, consciousness, and the center, while internal Kumbhak activates heat, prana, digestion, metabolism, and the lower chakras.

The teaching also opens the doorway to the Energetic Mastery Method, where scientific understanding and direct energetic experience come together. Guru Sanju explains that her student is being trained not only for personal transformation but also to become a healer who can understand, articulate, and apply energy consciously.

This discourse matters because it shows that Kundalini awakening requires both power and understanding. Through Kumbhak, attention, prana, healing hands, observation, and disciplined practice, the student begins entering a new energy science where consciousness becomes practical, experiential, and transformative.

The Respiratory Centers and the Natural Pause

When your respiratory centers are working well, a natural pause happens after inhalation and after exhalation. This natural pause is a positive sign. It shows that the breathing system is healthy, active, and functioning with deeper intelligence.

In the brain, the respiratory centers control breathing rate, breathing rhythm, and breathing speed. These centers are connected to the medulla oblongata, and studying them will become useful because ultimately I am going to make you a healer over a period of time.

You must know both the scientific aspect and the energetic aspect. The energetic aspect you will experience directly, but the scientific aspect will help you articulate what is happening.

When you become an advanced student and later a healer, your understanding must become deeper. The satsang between guru and student is not only about knowledge. It is experiential intelligence becoming clear through direct practice.

Why Kumbhak Must Be Understood

You must know why you are doing Kumbhak. You must know the advantage of Kumbhak on the physical body and on the energy body.

Kumbhak is not just holding the breath. It is a powerful process that affects oxygen, carbon dioxide, circulation, stem cells, prana, chakras, and consciousness.

When you hold the breath, there is mild oxygen deprivation in the body. Since you are not inhaling and not exhaling, the normal exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide temporarily pauses.

During that pause, the body begins responding in powerful ways. The entire system receives a signal that something important is happening, and hidden mechanisms of repair and renewal begin activating.

Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, and Inflammation

When you inhale, oxygen from the air is exchanged with carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide goes out, oxygen comes in, mixes with the red blood cells, travels through the heart, and then the heart pumps the blood into the whole body.

The blood reaches the cells, and the cells use oxygen for the production of energy. Carbon dioxide is then released from the cells and carried out through exhalation.

But sometimes there is congestion in the body because of many reasons. The blood vessels become constricted, and the blood flow is not proper.

When unused oxygen remains floating in the blood without entering the cells properly, it reacts with different layers of the body and can create inflammation. Most health problems today are deeply connected to inflammation.

Inflammation as the Root of Disease

Inflammation is connected to many diseases, including inflammatory conditions, autoimmune issues, brain-related problems, nervous system disturbances, and many health problems that people experience in modern life.

Organ damage alone does not create disease in the way people think. Inflammation creates disease. When inflammation becomes chronic, the body begins losing its natural intelligence.

This is why you must study inflammation. You must study respiratory centers. You must study how breath, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and circulation affect the body.

As you understand these things, your practice will deepen. You will know why Kumbhak is not merely a yogic technique but a complete science of renewal.

Stem Cells and the Renewal of the Body

During Kumbhak, stem cells are released from the bone marrow into the blood. Stem cells are responsible for renewal, repair, and regeneration in the body.

Stem cells are the fundamental cells. All cells of different organs, whether epithelial cells, cardiac cells, or other specialized cells, are formed from the deeper intelligence of stem cells.

Stem cells are like the seed of cell creation. From the seed, the tree, branches, and leaves appear. In the same way, from stem cells, the different structures of the body are renewed.

You must study stem cells. Many questions will arise, and that will begin a deeper satsang between you and me.

Learning Through Experience

From now onward, many of our sessions will be connected to deeper aspects of energy, breath, healing, and the body. Whatever questions arise in you, I will answer them.

First you must understand, and then you must implement on yourself. When you implement what you understand, you will get more results.

I know the benefits of Kumbhak because there are thousands of benefits physically and energetically. My brain has learned it as a technique that is useful for many reasons.

Once your body and brain learn the technique, Kumbhak becomes available to you as a powerful tool for healing, clearing, centering, and transforming your energy.

Kumbhak for Cough, Congestion, and Lethargy

If there is congestion in your body or cough in the system, Kumbhak can be done in a certain way to free you from that congestion. This is especially useful in the morning.

When you wake up and feel cough, cold, heaviness, or lethargy in the body, you can use Kumbhak with movement. You inhale, exhale, hold the breath, and move the body in a guided way.

Movement increases carbon dioxide in the body. A certain ratio of oxygen and carbon dioxide is required for vasodilation.

When that ratio is created through breath and movement, the blood vessels open. Blood circulation improves, and the body begins clearing congestion.

Entering a New Energy Science

You are entering a new energy science. You are becoming a student of this science.

There will be much to learn, and everything will be learned experientially. This is not dry information. This is energy science lived through the body.

The Energetic Mastery Method is not only for direct healing of patients or people. It is also for training those who are my students.

My students can learn this method from me through online and offline teaching. They can become healers and offer their own services through a proper process and certification.

The Energetic Mastery Method

The Energetic Mastery Method is a new power coming into the world. It is meant to teach and heal something that the world does not yet have in this form.

I am already teaching you this method through the project you are doing with me. This method brings together energy, breath, attention, healing, consciousness, and practical transformation.

It is all-encompassing. It trains the student to understand energy, experience energy, circulate energy, and finally use energy for healing.

To become a healer, you must know what is happening inside your body first. Then only you can work on others with clarity and power.

External and Internal Kumbhak

There are two main ways to practice breath retention. One is holding the breath after inhalation. The other is holding the breath after complete exhalation.

Holding after complete exhalation is external Kumbhak. Holding after inhalation is internal Kumbhak.

Both have different functions. Both affect the body and energy field differently.

When you understand external Kumbhak deeply, it becomes easier to understand internal Kumbhak.

The Power of External Kumbhak

External Kumbhak is mostly connected to the upper three chakras. Energetically, it is connected to the throat chakra, third eye, crown chakra, and bindu. It can also influence the heart to some extent.

When you do external Kumbhak, energy moves from the surface to the center. You feel that you are moving more toward your consciousness and more toward your center.

You feel that life is in the now. Everything else is forgotten. The mind moves away, and the energy comes to the center.

Kumbhak resets everything. You become present. You become centered. The upper chakras are activated, and Kundalini begins moving wherever she needs to move in the body.

Kundalini as Moving Feminine Energy

Kundalini is a moving energy. She keeps circulating here and there. She is never a stable energy in the ordinary sense.

She is feminine energy, always in flow. The feminine nature of Kundalini is seen clearly when she is functioning in life.

If you want control of your energy, then the energy must come into your consciousness center. External Kumbhak helps the prana move toward the head.

Prana is the fuel of Kundalini. When all the prana moves toward the head, Kundalini also moves toward the head, and you feel that the source of energy is here.

The Center as the Reserve of Energy

When the energy gathers in the head and the center, you feel that your reserve of energy is present there. You feel centered.

This happens on the energetic level. On the physical level, external Kumbhak creates mild oxygen deprivation and increases carbon dioxide in the blood.

Most people are under-exhaling. They are not exhaling completely. Because of this, oxygen does not reach the cells properly, and inflammation can continue.

When external Kumbhak happens, the body begins using the oxygen that is already present. The cells absorb available oxygen more efficiently, and the system begins resetting.

The Emergency That Creates Renewal

During external Kumbhak, no new oxygen is coming in. The brain senses an emergency and protects the vital organs.

Blood begins moving toward the vital organs such as the heart, lungs, and kidneys. The body becomes intelligent in that moment because it senses that oxygen is not coming.

All unused oxygen begins getting utilized. Carbon dioxide exchange becomes more active, and the cells begin participating more deeply in the process.

Then the body releases stem cells to repair, rejuvenate, and protect the body. This is a built-in mechanism of renewal.

Fresh Blood After Kumbhak

When you release Kumbhak and new oxygen enters, the emergency is complete. Fresh oxygen comes in, and blood circulation increases.

The blood becomes freshly oxygenated and is pumped again by the heart to the different organs of the body.

If you do Kumbhak for fifteen to twenty minutes, you can feel fresh and rejuvenated. During those rounds of Kumbhak, your total existence begins renewing itself.

If practiced consistently for six months, much of the healing required in the body can happen. The skin can change, the eyes can change, and even eyesight can improve when the practice is supported by Kundalini and sadhana.

Healing the Eyes Through Kumbhak

When you practice Kumbhak, you can give a specific intention for healing the eyes. Pay attention to the eye region and send healing energy there.

Do this continuously for one month, two months, or three months, and keep checking whether the eyesight has improved.

Blood circulation increases. Energy circulation increases. In the Energetic Mastery Method, the main process is energy circulation.

When energy circulation happens, many other benefits happen as by-products of the main process.

The Healing Power of the Hands

Everybody’s hands have healing energy. But those energies must be pure, and attention must be present for the energy to be sent consciously.

If the person is impure or scattered, the healing energy does not reach properly. But when awareness, feeling, and concentration are present, the hands become powerful.

Even someone not going through Kundalini awakening can feel energy passing from the hands when the attention is awakened.

This shows that we are all energy beings. Energy is already there. What is missing is awareness, feeling, and concentration of energy.

Internal Kumbhak and Heat

Internal Kumbhak happens when you inhale and hold the breath without exhaling. This lowers the carbon dioxide volume and increases the circulation of the oxygen and prana you have taken in.

When oxygen circulates in the body, it creates heat. The digestive system, metabolic functions, and many body functions become activated.

Internal Kumbhak activates the lower chakras. It activates the solar plexus, sacral chakra, and root chakra because it creates heat in the body.

Energetically, it activates Agni, the fire element. This is why internal Kumbhak is useful when the body needs more prana, warmth, digestion, metabolism, and activation.

When to Use Internal Kumbhak

People with digestive issues, fatigue, fibromyalgia-type problems, weakness, poor sleep, or low functional energy may need internal Kumbhak more in the morning.

Internal Kumbhak has the benefits of Surya Bhedi. Surya Bhedi activates sympathetic breathing, and similarly internal Kumbhak activates the sympathetic side of the breath.

It works on the metabolic functions of the body. It gives heat, power, and activation.

If prana is good, the body feels warm. If prana is weak and apana is dominant, the body feels cold, dull, and frozen.

Warmth, Prana, and Ojas

My hands and body remain warm because I have good prana and good ojas. When you have good prana and oxygen, you do not have health issues in the same way.

Warmth is good. The body should be warm, not cold in the frozen sense.

Coldness means more carbon dioxide, more dead energy, and more apana. Cooling is different from cold. Cooling is freshness created by prana, while coldness creates shivering, freeze mode, and nervous system sensitivity.

You must learn this difference. Fresh coolness is life. Dead coldness is freeze.

Cold Milk, Ghee, and Kundalini Nutrition

The body has intelligence to ask for what it needs. Sometimes cold milk, cold coffee, or cold food may be naturally preferred by the body.

Drinking cold milk in the morning after brushing and after having water can help shift the energy. Drink it consciously and feel it.

Cold milk can reduce micro-level inflammation, support ojas, and provide protein. Over time, Kundalini appreciates natural nourishment like milk.

Pure cow ghee is also essential. Ghee has no substitute. It lubricates the body and supports Kundalini. Kundalini will ask for natural foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, curd, yogurt, ghee, nuts, and cereals in purified form.

Lifestyle Must Change

Along with techniques, lifestyle must change. People have to change how they live, what they eat, what they keep, and how they carry energy.

Everything in the matrix has to go when it is not serving your energy. When you become lighter, the divine flows more easily in you.

Decluttering is not only about objects. It is about becoming light enough for energy to move.

When you carry too much unnecessary matter, energy becomes burdened. When you become lighter, life becomes more available.

The Left Hand and the Energy of Rest

The left hand is connected to Ida Nadi, the lunar channel. It is connected to the parasympathetic side and the rest-and-digest mode.

When you use your left hand for healing, peaceful energy may flow more strongly. It can calm the person and support rest.

This is why healing through the left hand may create relaxation in another person. The energy transferred through the hand carries a particular quality.

You must observe how different hands affect different people and situations.

The Right Hand and Activation

The right hand can be used when someone needs activation. If a person wakes in the morning dull and needs energy, you can test the effect of the right hand.

Observe whether the person becomes more active after receiving healing through the right hand.

This means you must experiment consciously with your hands. Your hands transfer energy, and you have to know which hand carries what effect.

This is your exclusive power, and you must learn how to use it for different kinds of healing.

Testing the Hands on Yourself

You can experiment on yourself. Place the right hand on the belly, close your eyes, and feel the difference in energy.

Then place the left hand and observe the difference. Also observe how the breath changes when you use the right hand and how it changes when you use the left hand.

This is a very good practice. Keep testing with your hands and keep observing what happens.

As you observe more, you will learn how energy moves through you and how your presence affects the body.

Your Presence Has Power

Your presence itself has power. This is very important for you to know.

The external application will come later. I am your guru, and I will make you express at the right time when the time comes.

But first you must know what your power is. If the universe is making you powerful, you must value it.

Start observing the impact of your presence on other people. Your consciousness is reaching them because the mind cannot make them feel stillness. Only consciousness can do that.

You Are Shiva

You are Shiva. You are stillness. What everyone is missing is that stillness.

Stillness is power. If you can bring people to this level of stillness, that is the highest healing.

If you are already experiencing this, then start observing more deeply how your presence impacts people.

Keep sharing these observations with me because I need to know what is happening in your life and how your powers are expressing.

The Next Step Comes From Observation

From diagnosis, I know that powers are coming in you. But when you report real facts and real experiences, I can take you from that level to the next level.

If you tell me that you have reached a certain stage, then I can guide you further. This is how the teaching deepens.

Even if it takes three months, four months, or six months of continuous understanding, the universe is there to give you, and I am here to facilitate it.

I will make sure that you receive it. Once you receive it, you must observe how things are changing every day.

Increasing the Duration of Kumbhak

Your challenge now is to increase the hold of Kumbhak. If you can hold for thirty seconds, increase it by two or three seconds more.

If you can hold for twenty seconds, increase the duration little by little. Push gently, the way athletes push beyond their previous capacity.

This push is required for power to come to you. Once you overcome this phase, different things will begin happening.

Some blockages in the upper three chakras may open during the increased duration of Kumbhak. The energy stuck in the head must be released upward.

Three Rounds in the Guru’s Presence

Do three rounds of external Kumbhak in my presence. Do them slowly. The slower the inhalation and exhalation, the better.

Hold the breath for a longer duration and feel the difference created by the slightly longer hold.

You do not need to count mechanically. You need to hold until the highest point your body allows.

Observe how the body responds. If immunity and strength are high, the duration will naturally extend.

The Sadhana for the Coming Week

For the coming week, experiment with your powers and do more sadhana. You can reduce the number of times you do Kumbhak, but increase the duration of each Kumbhak.

Each time, go more inside. Disconnect completely. Let the practice become deeper, not merely repeated.

If you reach forty seconds and beyond, your body will show extraordinary power. Your connection with power will become more autonomous.

You only need to do your homework. Keep practicing, keep observing, and keep sharing what happens with other people.
