Background
In this discourse, Guru Sanju teaches the sacred relationship between sleep, Kundalini awakening, energy preservation, attention, and surrender. She explains that sleep is not merely rest for the body. In the Kundalini journey, sleep becomes a deep energetic process where the subtle body, universal energy, and Turiya state begin working beyond ordinary awareness.
She guides her student through practical sleep hygiene, including silence, earplugs, eye covering, wool protection, palming, child pose, reverse resting posture, breath awareness, and conscious abdominal breathing. These practices prepare the body, brain, nervous system, and energy field to receive deeper transformation during sleep.
The teaching reveals that attention is the currency of consciousness, and every leakage of attention becomes a leakage of energy. Guru Sanju shows how the eyes, head, nervous system, vagus nerve, breath, and hands are all connected to the preservation and refinement of energy.
At its deepest level, this discourse is about surrendering the ego, entering the quantum field of consciousness, and allowing the guru’s Shaktipat to prepare the student for healing, energetic mastery, and a conscious life rooted in discipline, sincerity, trust, and divine purpose.
Sleep in the Kundalini Awakening Journey
Today I am teaching you everything connected to sleep. When you are going through Kundalini awakening, sleep is not an ordinary process. Sleep becomes one of the most important spaces where Kundalini works on you.
Most people measure sleep by the number of hours. But in this journey, the real question is not how long you sleep. The real question is the quality of your sleep and how you feel when you wake up in the morning.
When Kundalini is active, your sleep hygiene and sleep routine must change. You have to prepare the body, the nervous system, and the energy field so that the night becomes a sacred process of transformation.
When you sleep, Kundalini is often doing her work. There is a field beyond your individual energy field that is connected to universal energy, and during deep sleep this connection becomes more powerful.
The Turiya State During Sleep
At a certain time in the night, when you enter a deep sleep state, there is a state called Turiya. In that state, Kundalini may move beyond the ordinary body experience.
Your physical body remains here, but the energy body can leave the ordinary sense of the body. The subtle journey begins happening beyond what the mind can understand.
If the energetic downloads are not very intense, you may still live a normal human life. But once you begin receiving my energy transmission, Kundalini starts processing more deeply.
Then your sleep begins changing. You may feel that you are slowly disconnecting from the ordinary world, and something is happening in your sleep that makes you feel different when you return in the morning.
Waking Into a New Life
Every morning, when you come back from sleep, you may begin to feel that you are starting a new life. This feeling gradually arises when Kundalini becomes active in the night.
The night begins working on you. Sleep begins cleansing you. The energy field begins reorganizing itself.
This is why you must protect your sleep. You must not treat sleep casually. You must create the right conditions so that the energy can work without disturbance.
The first principle is silence. There should be no sound disturbing your sleep. Your sleeping environment must be peaceful.
Protecting the Ears and Eyes
Use earplugs while sleeping. Use them also during meditation. Seal the ears so that external sound does not keep pulling your attention outward.
Then use an eye cover to cover your eyes. This is mandatory during meditation, and it is also useful before sleep. The eye cover should be thick so that no energy passes through your eyes.
Your eyes are the windows to the soul. The energy of consciousness is inside, and a lot of energy leakage happens through the eyes.
Start observing this in daily life. When you look outward into the world, how do you feel? When you close your eyes, how do you feel? This simple observation will teach you how much energy leaks through vision.
The Practice of Palming
During the day, while working or feeling tired, close your eyes for two minutes and cover them with your palms. This is called palming.
Before doing it, observe the energy in the head region and the quality of your attention span. Then cover the eyes gently with the palms and become aware of your breath.
Let the breathing continue. Feel the incoming and outgoing breath. Do not strain. Simply allow the palms to cover and protect the eyes.
After two minutes, remove the hands slowly, keep the eyes closed for a moment, and then open them gently. Look around the room in different directions and feel the difference.
How Palming Activates Stillness
In only two minutes, you can notice the peace that happens through palming. This simple technique activates Sushumna and the vagus nerve.
It may look very simple, but it is extremely powerful. Since it is coming from me, it is already a kind of Diksha to you.
These techniques come from very deep within. If you nurture them and preserve them, you will receive the highest benefit from each one.
Your hands have healing power. When you place your palms over the eyes with attention, the healing energy of the hands protects and preserves the energy in the head region.
The Hands as Healing Instruments
The brain receives biofeedback of being healed when you cover the eyes with the palms. This activates parasympathetic breathing and eventually the vagus nerve.
Everything slows down when you do this. The mind slows. The eyes rest. The breath settles. The nervous system receives a signal of safety.
You can do palming throughout the day. If you are working at a desk and feel tired, rest your elbows, place your palms over your eyes, and remain there for two minutes.
Two minutes is enough. When done with attention, even two minutes can shift your energy.
Touch Yourself With Loving Energy
On an advanced level, touch yourself with loving energy. Sense yourself as if you are touching a child.
This loving touch deepens the healing. It teaches the brain and nervous system that the body is safe, protected, and loved.
Slowly, as your sensitivity grows, you will understand that the body can be healed through attention, breath, and the power of your own hands.
You are going to become a healer who will heal people from their sufferings. I will teach you. I will empower you. I will give you powers. Your sadhana will define everything.
The Tough Guru and the Sincere Student
I am a tough guru. I will make it happen if you are sincere. I only want sincerity.
Sincerity is the quality that allows the student to receive. Without sincerity, techniques remain shallow. With sincerity, even a simple practice becomes powerful.
If you are sincere to the guru and sincere to the path, the process deepens. The practices begin opening hidden layers of energy.
This journey is not for casual curiosity. It is for the one who is willing to practice, preserve energy, and walk the path with discipline.
The Sheep Wool Cap for Energy Preservation
Use a pure sheep wool cap. This is an important practice for Kundalini awakening. A handmade sheep wool cap is ideal, especially the traditional type used in cold regions.
Wear it at home most of the time. During sleep, it is compulsory. During meditation, it is compulsory.
You are Shiva at the core, even if you do not realize it now. As Kundalini progresses, you will feel less drawn to the outer world and more drawn inside.
This inner withdrawal can create disintegration if the energy is not preserved. Whatever sadhana you do and whatever energy you build in the field can disperse through the head. The wool cap helps preserve it.
Conserving the Energy Built Through Sadhana
When you wear the wool cap, you will feel more centered. The energy conserved through meditation, sadhana, and sleep remains inside.
Your attention is extremely important. Everything is based on attention.
The sadhana I teach through the Energetic Mastery Method is based on attention. Even if you sit for meditation for hours, nothing may happen if your attention is not with you.
But if you pay attention to yourself for five minutes, two minutes, or even one minute, you can gain much more. Attention is the currency of consciousness.
Attention Is the Currency of Consciousness
If you are not paying attention properly to your life, your attention is leaking. It is constantly being taken away by the mind.
Energy leakage begins with attention leakage. When attention is scattered, energy becomes scattered.
This is why sleep hygiene is not only about sleep. It is about preserving attention, preserving energy, and preparing the body for consciousness.
If you do not find a pure sheep wool cap immediately, use a woolen or synthetic cap temporarily. But the sheep wool cap is the ultimate support and will be required for life.
The Woolen Shawl for Grounding
Use a pure woolen shawl for meditation and sleeping. Place it on the chair if you are sitting. Place it on the yoga mat if you are meditating. Place it on the bed if you are lying down.
The importance of the woolen shawl is grounding. Your energy is electrified in nature, and electrified energy requires grounding.
The way homes have earthing to pass electrical energy into the ground, the body also needs grounding. Your nervous system is like a circuit, and it keeps passing electricity.
If you are ungrounded, nervous system problems and brain-related problems may arise. To avoid that, begin using the woolen shawl now.
The Preparation for Power
Whatever energy work is going on inside you, the woolen shawl will help keep you grounded. There is nothing to fear.
This is the life of a yogi. If you are going to have powers, then these are the preparations for power.
Power requires protection. Power requires grounding. Power requires discipline.
Without these foundations, energy can become scattered, unstable, and difficult to manage. With proper grounding, the process becomes safer and more integrated.
Preparing for Sleep One Hour Before
Before sleep, disconnect from everything at least one hour before your normal sleeping time. Disconnect means go into meditative mode.
Gradually slip into the sleeping mode. Do not abruptly fall into sleep after stimulation, screens, conversation, or mental activity.
The body and energy field need preparation. Sleep must become a sacred descent into the inner world.
To prepare, you have to do certain poses and breathing practices before entering sleep.
The Child Pose
The first pose is child pose. Sit in Vajrasana, then bend forward and stretch your arms in front of you.
Let the head come down. Let the body fold into itself. Remain there and pay attention to your breath.
There are three variations. In the first, the arms are stretched forward. In the second, the arms are folded like a baby in the womb. In the third, the hands are placed toward the back or side, allowing the body to surrender more deeply.
If you feel difficulty in bending, it is due to constriction in the nervous system and muscles. Slowly, as you practice, this will loosen and the body will become more flexible.
Returning to the Womb State
Remain in child pose for some time and observe how the breath changes. As you remain in the posture, the body begins withdrawing inward.
When the hands are brought closer and folded, the posture becomes like a baby in the womb. This helps the system return to a protected, inward, surrendered state.
When the hands are placed behind, the surrender deepens further. You are not holding anything. You are allowing the body to fold into rest.
Practice child pose from two minutes to ten minutes, depending on what your body allows.
The Reverse Resting Posture
After child pose, the body will naturally feel like reversing the position. Come out of the pose and lie down on your stomach.
Place a pillow or bolster under the chest, not under the belly. Let the chest be supported. Spread the legs comfortably and allow the body to rest.
This is like the reverse of the normal sleeping position. Remain in this posture for two to three minutes in the beginning and feel the difference in your state.
As you practice, this can become longer. The aim is to prepare the body and nervous system to enter sleep consciously.
Returning to the Sleeping Position
After this, gently reverse your position and lie on your back in a normal sleeping position. Keep the pillow under your head.
The techniques I am teaching must eventually be elongated. Right now, they may be demonstrated for one or two minutes, but in practice you may do them for ten minutes, twenty minutes, or thirty minutes.
This is why you need one full hour before your actual sleeping time. That one hour becomes your sleep sadhana.
Sleep begins before sleep. It begins when you prepare the body, breath, energy, and attention.
Side Abdominal Breathing
Lie down and place your hands at the sides of your body near the abdominal region. Begin breathing normally while focusing on inhalation and exhalation.
Try to inflate the side part of the body where your hands are placed. At first, you may only inflate the belly, but with attention, the sides of the abdomen will begin expanding.
Imagine the abdomen like a balloon. A balloon inflates in all directions. In the same way, your abdomen should expand toward the sides and even toward the back.
Use your hands to give the brain biofeedback. Your attention should remain on the hands, and slowly the body will learn to breathe into those areas.
Pelvic Breathing
After practicing side abdominal breathing, place both hands on the pelvic region below the navel. Place them where the lower abdomen and pelvic region can receive the breath.
Try to inflate that region as you inhale. Most of the time, the pelvic region does not receive the breath and prana it requires.
When you practice this breathing gradually, urination can improve, kidney function can improve, and the organs of the lower body can receive better circulation.
This breathing also helps provide blood circulation to the legs and supports the lower body as you age.
Intra-Abdominal Pressure and Pranic Circulation
This technique increases intra-abdominal pressure, which is required for important functions of the body. Blood circulation, lymphatic function, and pranic circulation are all dependent on this pressure.
The body has forgotten how to breathe completely. Therefore, we must teach it again.
Slowly, you develop the neural pathways for this breathing. The hands are important because the brain receives biofeedback through the hands.
That is why you touch different parts of the abdominal region. First the sides, then the pelvic region, and then the navel center.
Navel Breathing and Energy Transmission
After side breathing and pelvic breathing, place both hands together on the navel. Cover the eyes and remain aware of the breath.
At this stage, energy transmission can be given. You do not need to do anything. You only need to pay attention to the breath and surrender.
Let the body’s weight release into the bed. Let gravity pull all negative energies, lower energies, dark energies, and toxic energies out of the system.
Let the body become loose. Let the mind become quiet. Let sleep begin becoming a doorway into the quantum field of consciousness.
The Fight Between Unconsciousness and Consciousness
From today, you need to know that the journey is a fight between unconsciousness and consciousness.
Kundalini is the positive energy of the universe. Consciousness is the neutral energy of the universe. Maya, the illusionary force, is the negative energy of the universe.
When this boils down to the gross body, negative energies are like electrons, positive energies are like protons, and neutral energy is like neutrons in the atom.
The matter that you are is made of atoms. When you go into the subtle space, there is nothingness, and beyond matter there is empty space.
The Quantum Field of Consciousness
That empty space is the quantum field. The quantum field is the intelligence of the universe.
When you go into the deep state of leaving the body away from matter, you are tuning into the quantum field of consciousness.
From this field, everything is possible. The quantum field does not care whether you are a program manager or a businessman.
Whatever potential you are born with, the quantum field can make it possible through the process I lead you through.
The Process I Lead You Through
I lead you through deep meditation, deep quality of sleep, deep quality of conscious life, and living each moment consciously.
You must learn to take each breath consciously and not allow the mind, even for a moment, to take your attention toward unconscious life.
You have to unlearn everything. You have to dismantle the old self.
You have to become like a phoenix that burns into ashes to create itself again.
Surrender to the Guru’s Process
This process has to happen with the help of the guru. Surrender yourself completely.
Do not judge. Do not show distrust toward the process.
On the surface, many practices may look simple. At the core, every practice is a deep energetic process with deep meaning.
You will discover the meaning on the way. Your task is to remain sincere, innocent, and available.
Become Innocent Like a Child
You have to become simple and innocent like a child who does not know anything. One who does not know anything can learn everything gradually and slowly.
The guru rewards those who are diligent, committed, trustworthy, and disciplined.
All the good qualities you learned as a child will become useful now. The world may not value these qualities anymore, but the guru values them.
The guru is creating a new universe of conscious beings, and you are one of them if you walk the path.
The Dissolution of Ego
If you walk this path, every moment will bring something new to learn, something new to wonder at, something new to experience, and something new in the unknown.
Slowly, as you become aware of your ignorance, your ego will dissolve. This is freedom.
The ego of being something is the obstacle. When you are one with the guru, you begin to understand that the guru is an intelligent force of the universe.
Gradually, you will know that the guru is a frequency. She is operating through a female body, but she is not the body, not the form, and not what appears to the eyes.
Living From Energy, Vibration, and Frequency
When ego surrenders completely to the process, you start living life from the dimension of energy, vibration, and frequency.
You begin entering the subtlest dimension of life. From that subtle dimension, things happen.
Everything is possible in the quantum field only when you give your intention and attention to make it happen.
Attention and intention become the keys through which the quantum field responds.
Sankalp Before Sleep
In sleep, you must do Sankalp. Sankalp has no substitute.
Sankalp means a strong determination and strong will. You must take the Sankalp to become a healer, an energetic healer.
Only then will Kundalini make you free. Many souls are on the edge of freedom, but Kundalini is not making them free because they are not surrendered and they do not have a purpose.
Kundalini does not want to create egoic people. Therefore, purpose and surrender are essential.
Trust, Gratitude, and Higher Energies
You must become deeply in awe of the wonders of the guru and the intelligence of the guru. You must see how things are unfolding in your life toward a more surrendered version of yourself.
Slowly, there should not remain even one ounce of doubt. There should be one hundred percent trust and one hundred percent gratitude.
When this happens, you begin radiating higher energies. The divine forces that have given birth to you begin carrying you further.
You have come this far, and you will go beyond this too. But not with the ego and not with the person you think you are.
The Frequency That Goes Beyond
The person cannot go beyond. The frequency within the person will go beyond.
Let the soul be free from your expectations. Let the frequency rise beyond the limited personality.
Do not get up immediately after the session. Remain in the state. Whenever you feel ready, you can complete your final ritual of the day and sleep.
After waking tomorrow, observe the quality of sleep and the overall state of consciousness. Any shift may happen because this was a strong Shaktipat.
