Why Your Breathing Suddenly Changes
During the Kundalini awakening journey, you may experience a breathless condition in which breathing suddenly starts happening on its own. Sometimes the breathing becomes extremely fast because the body has low prana and Kundalini is using prana aggressively during the Kundalini ascension process within the energy body.
When breathing becomes very fast, carbon dioxide leaves the body very quickly. There is not enough time for the proper exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen, and fresh oxygen ions from the environment may not reach the blood cells sufficiently. This creates a condition of oxygen deprivation within the system.
Prana and Oxygen During Kundalini
Prana is carried with the oxygen you inhale. When you inhale, oxygen ions carry pranic elements from the environment and cosmic prana into your system.
If your body does not have enough prana, the lack of prana can create this involuntary breathing condition because the body is trying to maintain the balance between carbon dioxide and oxygen. In the same way, your energy body needs sufficient prana to process Kundalini.
Breathing Can Also Become Extremely Slow
Automatic breathing does not always become fast. Sometimes involuntary breathing becomes extremely slow. In this condition, carbon dioxide and oxygen move in too much harmony within the system, and the body can enter an extreme parasympathetic state where everything slows down.
This is also not a balanced state of life. Your carbon dioxide and oxygen ratio needs to remain balanced. For this, inhalation and exhalation need to happen according to what the body itself wants to do.
Allow the Body’s Intelligence to Return
You need to activate your body’s intelligence. During Kundalini awakening, this natural intelligence can become deactivated because the brain experiences the electrified energy of Kundalini as a threat and moves into freeze mode.
When you leave the body to work on its own, natural breathing becomes easier. Slowly, slowly, slowly, the automatic and involuntary breathing patterns begin subsiding.
Show Your Brain That You Are Safe
The first step toward natural breathing is to tell your brain that you are safe. But your brain is very smart. It will not understand safety simply because you verbally tell it that you are safe.
You have to expose your brain to nature and the natural abundance of the earth. Take yourself into an open space where you can experience the earth, grass, natural air, and distant surroundings.
In a powerful natural energy vortex, I can sit directly on the earth and ground myself. I can touch the grass, feel the mist on it, touch the earth, and look toward distant spaces. When I look into the distance, my brain adjusts to the natural environment and my instinctive brain becomes activated.
When this happens, the parasympathetic, rest-and-digest mode of the body becomes activated again after being disturbed by Kundalini symptoms.
Stop Excessive Meditation and Breathwork
Do not try to correct this condition through excessive meditation or breathwork. Yoga, meditation, and breathwork practices create certain patterns of response within the brain, whether Kundalini was activated through these practices or awakened naturally.
It can be dangerous to continue these practices when your system is already responding this way. Stop doing all of this. These practices do not necessarily lead Kundalini to progress in the best way.
The best way to allow Kundalini to progress is to let go. Let go and let go of all the practices you have been using to control your Kundalini and your breathing.
Use the Let-Go Technique
When involuntary breathing begins, do not immediately hold, control, or monitor your breath. Instead, introduce a conscious voluntary action into the involuntary pattern.
- Raise both shoulders and deliberately create some tension in them.
- Lift your hands while maintaining this tension.
- Release your shoulders and hands with a sigh of relief, as though you are throwing the held energy out.
- Exhale consciously through your mouth and take the exhalation completely to the end.
- Do not deliberately pull the next inhalation in. Allow inhalation to happen on its own.
- Repeat another complete exhalation and again allow inhalation to arise naturally.
The principle is simple. Whenever something involuntary is happening within you, introduce voluntary and conscious actions. In this technique, you consciously complete the exhalation while allowing inhalation to happen on its own.
Combine Exhalation With Movement
You can walk around while practicing the exhalation. Exhale as you move and allow the next inhalation to happen naturally. You can use mouth exhalation, or you can also do it through the nose.
This means you do not have to sit and monitor your breathing. You can integrate this practice with walking, working, and physical movement. The initiation of inhalation has to happen on its own.
Do Not Assume Every Breathing Problem Is Kundalini
Your breathing can be affected by many other factors, not just Kundalini. Whether your breathing problem is due to Kundalini or something else needs to be diagnosed rather than assumed.
You can book an online consultation with me and get yourself diagnosed. Once the diagnosis is complete, if you have been suffering from these symptoms for years and want to work further, you can also participate in my physical projects.
Restore Your Instinctive Breathing
Right now, I conduct physical projects in South India in natural energy vortexes. One of my students has progressed significantly in this journey through physical access to the Guru’s presence, physical access to Kundalini energy in nature, and cosmic energy working in his favor.
All of this is important for the Kundalini journey. Your breathing will be restored once your instinctive brain is activated. I am an expert in activating your instinctive brain. Your respective centers will be restored, and you will be able to breathe well.
