Background
Guru Sanju teaches that Kundalini awakening is not an escape from ordinary human life but a demand to live it more consciously. In her approach, awakening requires purification, disciplined practice, freedom from compulsive habits, greater connection with the body, and the willingness to transform patterns that keep life force contracted.
She emphasizes that techniques acquire value only when they are implemented and personally experienced. A seeker cannot accumulate spiritual knowledge while continuing to live through the same addictions, avoidance, suppressed emotions, unconscious habits, and repetitive mental patterns. She also gives importance to sexual energy, seeing it as one dimension of embodied life force that must be understood rather than feared or chronically suppressed. Her central message is that Kundalini seeks integration: consciousness must return to the body, the heart must become available to life, and spiritual awakening must ultimately produce a healthier, freer, more present human being.
Kundalini Awakening Demands Participation
If you want freedom, understand first that nobody can perform your transformation for you. I can teach you, guide you, give you techniques, and help you understand the energetic process, but you must implement what you learn.
This is where many seekers become stuck. They want the result of transformation without passing through the actions that transformation demands.
Kundalini does not work through passive wishing. She brings your unconscious patterns into awareness and then asks you to participate consciously in changing your life.
Your Old Self Will Resist Transformation
The conditioned self does not disappear merely because Kundalini has awakened. Your old programming may continue resisting the very changes that could take you into greater freedom.
Sometimes resistance appears as stubbornness. Sometimes it appears as endless questioning, procrastination, fear, intellectualization, argument, or the belief that you already know what you need to know.
Recognize resistance when it appears. Do not automatically assume that every thought produced by the old mind deserves your obedience.
The Ego Is a Pattern That Wants to Survive
When I speak about breaking the ego, I am not asking you to destroy your personality or surrender your capacity to think. I am talking about breaking unconscious patterns that repeatedly prevent you from moving beyond your present state.
A powerful technique can expose these patterns because the technique asks you to do something different from what your habitual mind prefers. Conscious practice creates a new experience, and new experience begins challenging the authority of the old pattern.
This is how transcendence becomes practical.
Freedom and Addiction Cannot Occupy the Same Center
If you are seeking freedom while remaining controlled by an addiction, there is a contradiction that must eventually be faced. Alcohol, compulsive stimulation, substances, or any behavior that repeatedly takes away your capacity to choose can become a form of bondage.
The spiritual question is not whether you are morally good or bad because you have an addiction. The real question is whether you are the power holder of your behavior or whether the behavior has become the power holder over you.
Kundalini continuously moves you toward greater consciousness and choice.
Purification Is Not Punishment
When I speak about purification, I do not mean that your body is literally garbage or that you should hate yourself for what you have done in the past. I mean that accumulated habits, substances, emotional burdens, unhealthy patterns, and unconscious behavior can make your system feel heavy and disconnected from its natural vitality.
Purification means beginning to remove what repeatedly weakens you. It means choosing what supports your body, brain, nervous system, consciousness, and life force.
You are not punishing yourself. You are making yourself available to life again.
Your Body Must Become a Temple
Your body is the physical instrument through which you are experiencing Kundalini. Treating it as a temple means giving it respect through nourishment, movement, rest, appropriate healthcare, conscious breathing, and freedom from destructive compulsions.
You do not need to become a monk or reject ordinary human life. In fact, I want you to become more capable of living your human life.
Purity is not withdrawal from existence. Purity is removing what prevents you from participating in existence fully.
Kundalini Awakening Must Become a Healthier Life
If Kundalini has awakened in you, use the awakening to become more conscious of how you live. Do not use spirituality as an excuse to neglect the body while becoming increasingly absorbed in energetic experiences.
Your sleep matters. Your nourishment matters, your addictions matter, your movement matters, your emotional state matters, and the way you use your attention every day matters.
Kundalini and life cannot ultimately be separated.
Sexual Energy Is Also Life Force
Sexual energy is one of the powerful expressions of human life force. Many spiritual seekers become confused about sexuality because they have learned to divide the sacred from the physical.
I do not want you to become afraid of your sexuality or ashamed of having sexual desire. Desire can be observed, understood, integrated, and expressed consciously rather than being automatically suppressed or compulsively acted upon.
Your body is not the enemy of your spiritual evolution.
Chronic Suppression Can Become Contraction
If sexual desire is continuously accompanied by fear, shame, conflict, or rigid suppression, you may experience considerable tension around the pelvis, body, emotions, and mind. I look at this energetically as life force that has become contracted rather than freely integrated into the person’s life.
This does not mean that everybody must have sex in order to progress spiritually or that abstinence automatically causes illness. The important question is whether your relationship with sexuality is conscious and freely chosen or dominated by fear, shame, compulsion, and internal conflict.
Freedom means being able to understand your energy without becoming its prisoner.
Sex Must Never Become Another Compulsion
Do not convert spiritual teaching about sexual energy into a command that you must immediately find somebody with whom to have sex. Sexual intimacy should involve consenting adults, mutual willingness, safety, honesty, respect, and circumstances that are appropriate for everyone involved.
A relationship, conscious intimacy, celibacy, or another personal choice can each be approached consciously. What matters spiritually is that you examine whether fear, repression, obsession, loneliness, shame, or unconscious conditioning is controlling your relationship with sexuality.
Conscious sexuality begins with responsibility.
Bring Life Force Back Into the Body
Many seekers become excessively centered in the head. They think about spirituality, analyze Kundalini, examine every sensation, and continuously interpret their internal state.
Meanwhile, the body remains forgotten. The pelvis is rigid, the breathing is shallow, the chest is contracted, movement disappears, and direct experience becomes secondary to mental interpretation.
Kundalini requires embodiment. Consciousness must eventually descend into the life you are actually living.
Speak Less and Increase Your Attention
If your mind continuously pushes you to speak while another person is speaking, observe that impulse. You do not have to obey every urge to interrupt, explain, defend, or immediately respond.
Listen completely. Feel your breath and allow attention to remain with what is actually happening instead of preparing the next sentence inside your head.
This simple discipline strengthens presence because attention stops being consumed by continuous mental commentary.
Use the Exhalation to Interrupt Mental Momentum
When you feel the urge to react immediately, use a gentle mouth exhalation as a reminder to return to yourself. Exhale slowly and consciously while relaxing unnecessary tension in the jaw, shoulders, chest, and abdomen.
Then listen again. You are creating a small interval between impulse and action.
That interval is where consciousness begins recovering authority over habitual behavior.
The First Practice Activates Breath and Movement
The first technique combines breathing with coordinated arm movement. Practice it in a safe environment where you have enough space to move freely and where your attention can remain completely with the body.
Sit or stand upright with the spine naturally lengthened and the shoulders relaxed. Keep the abdomen free rather than rigidly pulling it inward, and allow both arms to move comfortably.
The purpose is to bring breath, movement, attention, and life force into one conscious rhythm.
Raise Your Arms With the Inhalation
Begin inhaling through the nose while raising both arms upward. Keep the hands open during the upward movement and allow the chest and rib cage to expand naturally with the inhalation.
Feel the entire movement rather than performing it mechanically. Your attention should remain with the breath from the moment inhalation begins until the upward movement is complete.
Inhalation becomes the movement of receiving and expansion.
Bring the Arms Down With the Exhalation
Now exhale through the mouth while bringing both arms downward. As the hands descend, gently close them into fists and experience the downward movement as release.
Allow the abdomen to move inward naturally as the breath leaves. Keep the face and throat relaxed rather than creating unnecessary strain.
Exhalation becomes the movement of letting go.
Find the Rhythm
Continue alternating the two movements: inhale through the nose while raising the open hands, then exhale through the mouth while lowering the arms and gently closing the hands. Let the body gradually discover a coordinated rhythm.
Do not become obsessed with speed. The movement should remain conscious enough that you can feel what is happening throughout every repetition.
The technique loses its deeper purpose when counting becomes more important than awareness.
Begin With a Manageable Number of Rounds
If this active breathing practice is new to you, begin with a small set such as ten to twenty comfortable rounds and then stop. Sit quietly and observe your response before deciding whether more practice is appropriate.
Do not force yourself through hundreds of vigorous breaths simply because you want a faster spiritual result. Repeated forceful breathing can cause light-headedness, tingling, dizziness, anxiety, or faintness, so stop if these occur and allow normal breathing to return.
Kundalini mastery requires sensitivity to your system, not violence toward it.
Become Completely Still After the Movement
When the active rounds are complete, lower the hands and become still. Close the eyes if you are safely seated and allow your breathing to return to its natural rhythm.
Do not immediately analyze what happened. Feel the chest, heartbeat, throat, abdomen, hands, face, head, and the overall quality of your presence.
Observation after action is an essential part of the technique.
Feel the Lightness Without Chasing It
You may notice a subjective feeling of lightness, warmth, openness, alertness, emotional movement, or greater awareness of the heartbeat. Allow the experience without immediately demanding that it become permanent.
Each practice gives you information about your present state. Your work is to become capable of perceiving that information consciously.
Do not chase sensations. Learn from them.
Bring Your Attention to the Heart
After the breathing practice, gently bring your attention toward the center of the chest. Feel whatever is present without forcing yourself to manufacture love, joy, or spiritual emotion.
Within my energetic framework, this practice can help bring awareness and movement toward the heart chakra. The heart begins becoming available when contraction reduces and you allow yourself to feel life again.
Stay present with the heart rather than trying to conquer it.
Heart Opening Must Become Self-Love
Opening the heart chakra has little meaning if you continue treating yourself with hatred, neglect, criticism, and destructive habits. Self-love must eventually become visible in the way you live.
It appears when you nourish your body, remove addictions, respect your boundaries, allow healthy pleasure, rest when necessary, make courageous decisions, and stop deliberately placing yourself in situations that repeatedly destroy your vitality.
Self-love is an energetic state expressed through action.
Your Life Force Needs a New Direction
When old addictions begin disappearing, you need somewhere meaningful for that energy to go. Otherwise the empty space may simply become occupied by another compulsion.
Use your energy for health, physical movement, meaningful work, relationships, creativity, learning, conscious sexuality, service, adventure, and experiences that bring you directly into life. Give your nervous system evidence that existence contains more possibilities than the patterns you are leaving behind.
Freedom needs direction.
Do Not Expect a Magic Pill
There is no technique that allows you to continue every destructive pattern while somehow becoming permanently free. Transformation requires participation.
You may receive a powerful practice, but you still have to change what you eat, drink, consume, think, repeat, tolerate, suppress, and avoid whenever those patterns are clearly damaging your life. The technique creates an opening; your decisions determine what enters through it.
That is why implementation is everything.
One Technique Must Be Lived Before the Next
I prefer that you learn a technique and experience it deeply rather than collecting twenty techniques in one week. Give yourself enough time to discover what actually changes.
Observe your energy, attention, sleep, breathing, emotional state, cravings, concentration, and relationship with your body. Keep notes if that helps you recognize patterns that would otherwise disappear from memory.
Your experience becomes your education.
Progress Through Direct Results
If a practice helps you become more present, healthier, clearer, calmer, more embodied, and more capable of living, recognize that result. Then continue integrating what works.
If something consistently destabilizes you, creates severe symptoms, or worsens your functioning, do not blindly continue because somebody called it spiritual. Adjust the practice and seek appropriate professional guidance when necessary.
Consciousness requires discernment.
Kundalini Does Not Replace Healthcare
Alcohol dependence, severe psychiatric symptoms, suicidal thoughts, neurological concerns, or other significant health problems should not be diagnosed solely as blocked Kundalini, damaged energy, ego resistance, or sexual suppression. These conditions can require qualified medical or mental-health care.
Breathwork, meditation, embodiment, spiritual guidance, and Kundalini practices can form part of a broader personal journey, but they should not replace necessary treatment. If alcohol dependence is significant, abruptly stopping without medical advice can itself be dangerous.
Your spiritual evolution should protect your life and health.
Freedom From Alcohol Requires Conscious Action
If alcohol has become compulsive, the deeper objective is freedom from the compulsion. Become conscious of what triggers drinking, what emotional state precedes it, what reward you expect from it, and what happens afterward.
Do not romanticize the addiction and do not build your identity around fighting it forever. Appropriate addiction treatment, medical support, counseling, peer support, and spiritual practice can work together when needed.
The destination is not shame. The destination is choice.
Purify What You Consume
Become conscious about food as well. Your diet should support your health, vitality, digestion, energy requirements, and individual needs rather than becoming another rigid spiritual identity.
Within my teaching, purification means moving away from compulsive and unconscious consumption toward greater awareness. Eat in a way that allows you to feel nourished rather than constantly overloaded.
Your relationship with food is another place where consciousness can enter ordinary life.
Purification Must Reach Every Layer of Life
Food and substances are only one dimension. You also consume information, conversations, environments, emotional dynamics, social media, entertainment, beliefs, and the energy of the people around you.
Ask yourself what repeatedly enters your consciousness and what state it creates afterward. If something continually leaves you fragmented, compulsive, fearful, angry, or depleted, examine why you keep allowing it into your life.
Purification is conscious selection.
Kundalini Wants Conscious Choice
You do not become free by replacing one rigid rule with another. You become free by increasing your capacity to perceive clearly and choose consciously.
This is why I do not want you merely following spiritual instructions like a machine. Learn, practice, observe, understand, and gradually become capable of recognizing what supports your evolution.
The Guru can guide you, but consciousness must awaken inside you.
Your Life Is the Real Freedom Project
Freedom cannot be limited to a meditation period, spiritual program, retreat, or technique. Your actual life is the project.
How you wake up, breathe, eat, work, relate, express sexuality, respond to cravings, use your attention, handle discomfort, and make decisions becomes part of the awakening. Every ordinary moment gives consciousness another opportunity to replace unconscious repetition.
This is where Kundalini becomes real.
Move From Freeze Into Participation
Whenever you have stopped participating in important dimensions of life because of fear, shame, exhaustion, avoidance, or old conditioning, investigate the contraction gently. Do not immediately force yourself into an extreme opposite behavior.
Begin moving again through appropriate physical activity, social connection, creative work, healthy intimacy, purposeful action, new experiences, and conscious engagement with the world. Give life force multiple pathways through which it can express itself.
Movement is larger than any single act.
The Heart Needs Real Life
You cannot permanently live only inside your head and expect the heart to remain completely alive. The heart needs connection, appreciation, courage, participation, vulnerability, expression, and experiences that allow you to feel.
Sometimes you do not need another explanation of your Kundalini. You need to leave the repetitive mental world and actually experience your life.
The heart opens through living as much as through meditation.
Your Body Knows the Difference Between Thinking and Living
You can think about exercise without moving a muscle. You can think about intimacy without touching another human being, think about adventure without leaving your room, and think about transformation without changing a single habit.
The body receives a completely different experience when thought becomes action. This is why embodied Kundalini work continuously brings you from conceptual understanding into direct participation.
Your nervous system learns through experience.
Let Consciousness Enter Every Action
When you breathe, breathe consciously. When you eat, know that you are eating, and when you listen, actually listen.
When you make an important decision, feel what happens in your body rather than living entirely through mental argument. When you enter intimacy, remain present rather than using another person merely as an outlet for tension.
Consciousness transforms ordinary human activity into spiritual practice.
The Goal Is Not Perfection
You are not required to become perfectly pure before Kundalini can move. You are a human being evolving through experience, and there will be mistakes, resistance, old habits, difficult emotions, and periods when progress appears slow.
What matters is direction. Are you becoming more conscious, more responsible, healthier, freer, more embodied, and more capable of participating in your own life?
That direction tells you much more than spiritual perfectionism ever will.
Become Responsible for Your Transformation
I can guide you toward the door, but you must walk through it. I can teach breathing, attention, energetic awareness, purification, embodiment, and the principles through which I understand Kundalini.
You must then practice and observe. You must make the choices that no Guru can make on your behalf.
Responsibility is not a burden when you understand it correctly. Responsibility is the return of your power.
Kundalini Freedom Means Becoming Fully Alive
The ultimate purpose of Kundalini is not to make you afraid of your body, sexuality, mind, desires, or ordinary human existence. Awakening should progressively make you more conscious of all of them.
Purify what needs purification, release what has become compulsive, integrate the energy you have suppressed, care for the body, strengthen your attention, open the heart, and participate in life. Let consciousness move through the whole human being rather than remaining trapped inside spiritual thought.
This is how Kundalini becomes freedom: not by escaping life, but by becoming conscious enough to live it completely.
