What Is Kundalini Awakening?
Kundalini Awakening is awakening the dormant Shakti (feminine divine) energy from the base of your spine at the Muladhara Chakra or the Root Chakra.
From the Root Chakra, it awakens to cleanse your system, traveling through different Chakras.
There are seven Chakras (energy vortexes or energy centers) in your physical body:
- Root Chakra (Muladhara Chakra)
- Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthan Chakra)
- Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipur Chakra)
- Heart Chakra (Anahat Chakra)
- Throat Chakra (Visuddhi Chakra)
- Third Eye Chakra (Ajna Chakra)
- Crown Chakra (Sahasrara Chakra)

Kundalini clears all Karmic accumulation, all tendencies, all desires, and all that obstructs its journey upwards.
Kundalini plays the role of movement in your life. All your blocked energies at the energy centers or Chakras are cleared through Kundalini Awakening.

Common Symptoms of Kundalini Awakening:
If you are going through Kundalini Awakening, then some common symptoms are:
- You must be experiencing some abnormalities in your life regarding an energy shift.
- Your existing world seems confusing to you.
- You do not have any idea what is going on in your life.
- You fail to participate in worldly activities.
- Nobody understands you.
Kundalini Awakening at the Root Chakra:
Kundalini awakens from its dormant state at the Root Chakra:
- It travels upwards to cleanse all the Karmic sediments in your Root Chakra.
- It completes all the Karmic Accounts with people at the root level.
- At the same time, when it clears the Root Chakra, it will complete its function at the root chakra, like the function of food, clothing, and shelter, which is the foundation of a human being.
- Unless you are completely fulfilled in fulfilling your desires connected to food, clothing, and shelter, Kundalini does not move upward.
Since human desires are unlimited, it takes lives to complete each Chakra at different levels in that Chakra.
For example:
A person who is not having enough resources and the ability to complete his requirements of food, clothing, and shelter, will have to travel lives to be fulfilled and complete.
Until that happens, he is not eligible to move upward in the higher Chakra above the Root Chakra, which is the Sacral Chakra.
For example:
If you are in the Root Chakra, your primary concern will be to work with your physical body:
- To make a home for your living.
- To procure food for your survival.
- To have enough clothes to protect your body from external environmental conditions.
You will travel birth by birth in the Root Chakra until these are fulfilled.
Symptoms of Kundalini Awakening at the root chakra:
Kundalini awakens from the root chakra when your Karmic accounts are fully settled at the root chakra.
- You will experience symptoms of Kundalini Awakening through the stuckness of energy related to essential functions in your life.
- If your Kundalini is stuck, then there is a possibility that you will not be able to enjoy the pleasures of the essential functions of life like food, clothing, and shelter well.
- You will feel the tendency to explore life, form relationships, and enjoy the artistic pleasures of life.
Moreover, based on where you are in your evolutionary journey, you will experience a deeper level of energetic blockages in your Root Chakra.
Movement of Kundalini at the Sacral Chakra:
Likewise, as Kundalini evolves and reaches Sacral Chakra, it will do the functions of that Chakra.
The primary function of the Sacral Chakra is creation, forming relationships, and living life completely.
Creation in the form of giving birth to offspring. If you are a female body, you will become a mother. If you are a male body, when you become the father of a child, nurture that child till he grows into an adult.
At the same time, you have different perspectives on life. You view life as this nature and would like to explore Earth in different capacities.
Completing Kundalini at the Sacral Chakra also takes millions of births for a human being and is saturated in the Sacral Chakra.
Symptoms of Kundalini Awakening at the Sacral Chakra:
Kundalini Awakening at the Sacral Chakra will uproot you from enjoying the pleasures of life:
- It will make you feel restless and drive you towards ambition and higher goals of living life more practically.
- You will not be able to enjoy the pleasures of life fully, and your relationship problems will begin.
- You will lose interest in the creative aspect of life and feel like monetizing your efforts.
Movement of Kundalini at the Solar Plexus:
After Kundalini completes its Sacral Chakra clearance journey, it moves to the next Chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra.
At the solar plexus, your financial aspects take precedence over your basic needs, relationships, and enjoying the pleasures of life:
- You will feel like accomplishing more.
- You will be ambitious.
- You will try to fulfill your financial goals.
- Your prime motive will be to earn money.
- You will yearn to grow more in your profession.
- You will grow as an intellectual and learn more skills to live a better quality of life.
These three chakras are in order -root chakra, sacral Chakra, and the solar plexus are the prime chakras where most humans exist today.
Also, human beings have lived in these three chakras for ages. The journey and the shift from one Chakra to the next Chakra is long, more than what you can imagine.
That is why you will get people in masses primarily concerned about food, clothing, shelter, procuring material wealth, giving birth to children, and repeating the cycle repeatedly.
This cycle of birth and death continues.
Symptoms of Kundalini Awakening at the Solar Plexus:
When completely saturated at the solar plexus, Kundalini Awakening happens at this phase.
At the junction of each Chakra, it will take you to a higher level.
But that is not enough. To reach more towards the divine, you need a special force, and that force activates when you have completed all the human functions of the lower three chakras.
When completely saturated at the solar plexus, you have experienced enough material wealth, lived the highest and kingly life, had an empire, and ruled the world. A phase comes when you feel like merging with the divine.
At the Solar plexus, when you:
- Fulfill all your desires completely.
- Get free from the desires associated with material wealth existing in this world.
That urge and that feeling of merging with the divine comes at the phase of the junction of the solar plexus to the Heart Chakra.
Kundalini Awakening Journey Is Long at the Lower Three Chakras:
The lower three chakras, where most of the human beings in today’s world exist in order (lower to higher), are:
- Root Chakra
- Sacral Chakra
- Solar Plexus
Humans have lived in these three chakras for ages because of unlimited desires, tendencies, and patterns.
- The lower energies are dense and heavy in these three Chakras.
- The journey and the shift from one Chakra to the next Chakra is long, more than what you can imagine.
- That is why you will get people in the masses who are mainly concerned about food, clothing, shelter, procuring material wealth, and giving birth to children.
- They keep repeating the cycle repeatedly because they never get exhausted from enjoying the pleasures of life and worldly benefits.
The cycle of birth and death continues until the energy becomes saturated at the Solar Plexus Chakra to move upward.
Movement of Kundalini at the Heart Chakra:
When your Kundalini shifts to the Heart Chakra after completing all the Karmas at the Solar Plexus Chakra, a feeling of serving others arises:
- You feel like doing something more apart from your family and for society.
- You want to do more for humanity.
At the heart chakra, you will have a feeling like:
- Everyone is a soul.
- Everyone is filled with love, peace, and joy.
- You feel like doing more for others and serving more. You feel like connecting to the world on a global scale, removing all your limiting beliefs and conditioning.
So most people in today’s world involved in service are traveling the path of the heart chakra. One day, their sole purpose is to meet the divine, the universal consciousness.
A person who is at heart chakra is not very expressive:
- He is filled with love, and he speaks with people all the time in a civilized and beautiful way.
- He does not know the complexities of the mind of the lower three chakras.
- He feels that everything is good.
Everything is beautiful, which is actually. But there is also the existence of this world, having its own rules. You lose the practical applications of living life based on worldly dynamics.
Symptoms of Kundalini Awakening at the Heart Chakra:
Kundalini awakens from the Heart chakra to complete all Karmic Accounts at this level. The junction of the Heart chakra at which Kundalini awakens is the point when:
- You experience a lot of suppression.
- A lot of emotional turmoil.
- A lot of unexpressed emotions.
- You are hurt and depressed.
- People have dominated you, and your emotions are suppressed.
After the Heart Chakra, the Kundalini moves upward towards the Throat Chakra. The Kundalini takes the lead to shift you from the Heart Chakra to the Throat Chakra.
Kundalini Awakening at the Throat Chakra and Third Eye Chakra.
To understand the Kundalini Awakening journey beyond the Heart Chakra, you must be evolved in your spiritual evolutionary process.
- The Kundalini Awakening journey at the higher three Chakras is more complex and beyond the understanding of your limited logical mind.
- The three Chakras- Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra, and Crown Chakra, need unique guidance and attention to make you understand Kundalini.

Throat Chakra:
When the Throat Chakra opens, a person starts speaking the truth.
Third Eye Chakra:
