The Emptiness Before the Awakening
How to start your spiritual journey?
This is a question often asked by those who feel something is missing—people who are finding no meaning in life. There is a deep, undeniable emptiness within. The pleasures of the outer world—the ego games, the mind’s dramas, the illusions of samsara, the matrix—no longer motivate them.
If you’re someone who feels disconnected from the usual worldly pursuits… if your mind and body are busy fulfilling everyday needs but your soul remains untouched… it means the spirit in you, the Kundalini in you, the energy in you is beginning to stir. It is urging you to wake up from your deep sleep state and start the real journey.
The Coal Covered in Ashes
You may wonder, Why should I start this journey? Am I not already on it? If the journey is pre-decided, why bother initiating it myself?
Let me tell you: there is forgetfulness of who you are.
Imagine burning coal. If left unattended, it gets covered by layers of ash. Over time, that glowing heat is buried under soot. You forget the fire exists until one day, you blow air over it, and suddenly the flames rise again. That coal is your soul. Your Kundalini, your energy, your atma—all of it is covered by dust gathered from millions of past births, vasanas, vikaras, and lower energies.
Unless you process this, nothing will move. Without effort, you remain like a sloth—lethargic, heavy, unable to act. Spiritually frozen.
Newton’s Law and the Force of Consciousness
Let me explain it from a more familiar perspective—Newton’s First Law of Motion:
A body in motion continues to be in motion, and a body at rest continues to be at rest, unless an external force is applied.
That external force in your spiritual life is consciousness. Something within you—your inner GPS—is whispering: Begin. Now is the time. The ego-mind can no longer serve you. It has played its role. You are being nudged toward evolution.
The First Step: Listen to Your Feelings, Not Your Emotions
The simplest and most powerful way to begin your spiritual journey is to start listening to your feelings.
Many of you may be confused between emotions and feelings. Here’s the difference:
- Emotions are tied to the past or future. They are based on incidents that have happened or imagined scenarios yet to unfold. They are stagnant, recycled energy—energy in motion that lingers in your system without being present now.
- Feelings, on the other hand, belong to the present moment. They are messages from your soul. You can only feel in the now. That’s the true voice of spirit.
If you want to evolve, you must stop following emotions and start listening to feelings. Feel your way into your spiritual life.
How to Use Your Inner GPS
From the moment you wake up in the morning until you go to sleep, pay attention to your inner GPS.
This inner navigation system speaks in signals—positive and negative. Learn to trust it.
- If it says go right, go right.
- If it says go left, go left.
- If it says stop, then stop.
For every action in life, your inner GPS gives you a signal. When you start decoding these signals and acting accordingly, your energies start channeling. You begin to feel lighter. Life begins to flow.
That’s when you’ll know—you are finally on your spiritual path.
Know Where You Are Before You Move
To walk the path consciously, you must first know your starting point.
There are seven chakras. You may be blocked or stagnant in one. If you are unaware of this, you may remain stuck without realizing it. I can help you diagnose this and directly work on healing and moving your Kundalini upward.
Only when you know where you are, can you begin meaningfully.
Let me give you a few examples:
- If you’re stuck at the solar plexus, you’ll feel frustrated in your career or job. The spiritual action here is to quit that job and start something aligned with your inner GPS.
- If you’re stuck in a relationship, that relationship becomes the starting point of your journey. You may have to make bold decisions, end toxic ties, or grow into your individuality.
Wherever you’re stuck—that is where your spiritual journey begins.
The Purpose of the Journey
This path is not about wearing robes or meditating in caves.
The purpose of the spiritual journey is to awaken you from your deep slumber and turn you into an aware, confident, intelligent, and aligned human being. You don’t need to abandon your life. You don’t need to become a monk. You simply need to become present and awake.
When lived correctly, your life becomes meditative. There is no need for effortful practices or hours of meditation if you are living in sync with your inner GPS.
A Warning: Don’t Get Trapped by Sellers
When you begin to explore this path, you may fall prey to the many cheaters and spiritual sellers in the market—offering courses, yoga classes, promises of instant enlightenment.
Do not get distracted.
They will treat you as a prospective client and sell you spiritual practices that are meaningless without real inner guidance. Avoid wasting your life on such pursuits.
Instead, invest your life in the real journey—your unique journey, lived from within.
