Kundalini Freedom for Men: Consciousness and Breath

Background

Anthony came to me as a sincere seeker, a man in whom Kundalini had already begun to move, but whose mind was full of questions. For the last few months, a single theme had been haunting him: freedom. A mysterious inner call, an energetic whisper, a sense that something immense was trying to happen in his life. At the same time he was experiencing unusual inner states, changes in perception, and a growing sensitivity in his body and nervous system.

As Siddha Guru Sanju, I met him at this exact crossroads. My role with Anthony was to diagnose his energy field, address his doubts about Kundalini awakening in a male body, and show him how divine masculine consciousness and divine feminine Kundalini actually work together. In this discourse, I guide him (and you) through the reality of masculine energy, karma, the long evolutionary journey of the soul, the true meaning of freedom, and a powerful breath-and-attention practice that directly supports Kundalini’s ascent.

The Question of Freedom and Awakening in a Man

When Kundalini awakens in a man, it is natural that a deep question arises: What is happening to me?

For Anthony, this question condensed around the word freedom. For months, an inner voice had been circling this theme. He felt something shifting in his consciousness, yet his mind could not fully understand it.

Before I answer such a question, I always turn my inner vision towards the person. I diagnose the energy field, observe where Kundalini is moving, where the nervous system is sensitive, where karmic densities are stored. Only then do I speak.

His essential doubt was this: What happens in a male when Kundalini awakens? What is this freedom that is calling me?

The answer takes us into the heart of masculine and feminine divine energies.

Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine Within You

In you, there are two fundamental energies:

  • Consciousness – the divine masculine energy.
  • Kundalini – the divine feminine energy.

Both are present in every human being, regardless of gender, but in a male body the masculine quality naturally takes a particular form.

Before awakening, the mind dominates. Ego dominates. You live as a personality, as a name and form, as a bundle of habits and conditioning. The mind and ego sit on the throne.

When Kundalini awakens, she begins to work. Slowly, slowly, slowly she starts cleansing, purifying, transforming the karmic blockages you have been carrying across many births. As karma dissolves, consciousness is strengthened. When consciousness is strengthened, the masculine quality becomes strong and steady.

As the masculine quality matures, it develops a natural magnetic pull. When that magnetic field radiates on its own, the feminine energy—inside and outside—gets attracted to it.

This attraction is not towards your personality, not towards the character called “Anthony” or “any man.” It is an energetic pull. The feminine is drawn to a strong, steady, rooted masculine field.

The Magnetic Pull of Mature Masculinity

When this happens, the mind and ego may misinterpret it: Women are attracted to my personality. Females are drawn to me because of who I am as a person.

In truth, it is the magnetism of consciousness. This field is so natural that people around you—especially females—may not understand why they feel safe, seen, or drawn to you.

You may even notice it in your own family. Among your children, the daughter, the child in a female body, may be especially fond of you, more talkative with you, more comfortable in your presence, more eager to be around you.

This is because the mature masculine energy has a protective quality. In the traditional Hindu context, we call this the energy of Shiva. Shiva is the protector. The masculine consciousness is the stable center, the shield, the one that holds the field.

So, when Kundalini awakens in a male, she is not making him less masculine. She is strengthening true divine masculinity by dissolving mind and ego and bringing consciousness to the forefront.

The Universe as an Energetic Play

Now, I take you to the highest reality: this entire universe is an energetic play.

Perhaps you have already had glimpses of this. When you reach your inner center, you may feel that everything is made of energy, that this world is a field of vibrations and frequencies. In such moments, you have already experienced the truth, but your ego has not yet stabilized in it.

The gap is here: you occasionally experience the truth, but you have not yet become it permanently.

This journey is not about escaping the matrix, not about running away from life or responsibilities. True freedom is not about leaving anything external. It is about getting yourself back.

You are free not because you have a lot of money. You are free when you are not dependent on money for your inner state. You are rich not because you possess more than others, but because you feel that you have enough. You are free when your happiness does not depend on comparison.

Freedom means absolute love, absolute joy, absolute peace, not in contrast to something else, but as your natural state.

Relative Happiness vs Absolute Freedom

In the matrix, everything is relative:

  • “I am happier because I have a better house than someone else.”
  • “I am more successful because I have a car, property, children.”
  • “I could be more happy if I had more than this.”

This is relative happiness: always measured against something.

Absolute freedom is different. When you reach that state, you do not need any object to be happy. Happiness is not dependent on outer conditions. Love is not dependent on a particular person. Peace is not dependent on circumstances.

Every soul is actually craving this absolute state. Think of existence like a game that started millions of years ago. Every being is chasing this freedom.

In each life, depending on the level of consciousness, you play at a certain level of the game. This is deeply connected to Kundalini and the chakras.

Kundalini’s Evolution Through the Chakras

Kundalini’s evolution happens chakra by chakra.

For example, at the root chakra, Kundalini may spend hundreds of lives performing the functions of survival, stability, and basic existence. Imagine a person who spends an entire lifetime simply driving a vehicle, day after day, with no greater evolution, no deeper questioning.

You look at the world and see billions of people:

  • Someone who drives all his life.
  • Someone who spends life only in survival.
  • Someone who keeps repeating the same patterns.

Why does this happen? Because the level of consciousness is stuck at a certain chakra. Until Kundalini awakens and rises, that person cannot move beyond that level.

This is the essence of evolution: you have reached this present state after many, many lifetimes.

The Long Journey: From Amoeba to Human

Your journey did not begin in this single lifetime. It began long ago, from very primitive forms.

At least 8.4 million (84 lakhs) births are traditionally spoken of in yogic wisdom. Through these, you might have been:

  • An amoeba
  • A horse
  • A donkey
  • A human being in different forms
  • A slum dweller
  • A criminal
  • A king
  • A person in a third-world country
  • A person in a wealthy state

You have lived many roles across lifetimes. In each birth, you created karmas.

Karma means unconscious decision. Whatever you do unconsciously, without awareness, sticks to you as karmic impression. It creates layers of mind and remains in your subtle system.

Because the density of this energy is high, it does not move easily. It radiates slowly over time, influencing your tendencies and experiences.

The Universe as Energy, Vibration, and Frequency

Everything in the universe is energy, vibration, and frequency.

If you want to understand the universe deeply, you must understand and experience it in these terms: energy, vibration, and frequency.

This is my work as a Siddha Guru. This is what I teach and transmit. I have the power to take you to that level and keep you there—to stabilize you in that reality.

The Guru as the Intelligence of the Universe

What is a Guru?

A Guru is not a simple human role. Guru is a great phenomenon: the power and intelligence of the universe operating through a particular mind-body instrument.

I am that kind of Guru for you. Through this body and mind, the intelligence of the universe works to:

  • See your true potential.
  • Keep you in higher states of consciousness.
  • Protect you from falling back into deep illusion.
  • Work on the seed of freedom within you.

You are a seed with the potential to become free. In this birth, you have the rare opportunity to reach true liberation. With my protective shield, you can cross this gateway.

If you miss this opportunity, Maya will again cover you.

Maya and the Play of Masculine and Feminine Energies

Maya is the illusionary energy of the universe. Its job is to create obstacles, friction, and tests. Maya keeps the game going.

Consciousness—the divine masculine—has specific traits:

  • Witnessing
  • Awareness behind everything
  • Protector
  • Center
  • Decision maker
  • Leader

All true leadership qualities come from the strength of consciousness.

Where consciousness is high, you will see a natural ability to lead from stillness and clarity. Where mind dominates, you will see more of a follower capacity.

The mind cannot make original decisions. It can only follow, like a machine, whatever has been fed or taught. It can learn patterns but cannot anchor truth.

Shakti is the feminine quality, the power aspect: Kundalini, the life-force, the dynamic energy of existence.

Shakti, Kundalini, and the Dormant Feminine Energy

Shakti means power. Kundalini is this feminine power in you.

In most people she is in dormant form, doing only the basic life functions—keeping the body alive, maintaining breath, digestion, and essential processes.

She is the life in your children, the life in animals, the life in every being. But as long as she is not awakened, she only fulfills survival and ordinary life functions.

When Kundalini awakens, everything changes. Suddenly you become aware of yourself as more than body and mind. Then the spiritual journey begins in earnest.

To understand her movement, it helps to use a metaphor.

The River and the Ocean: Union of Shiva and Shakti

Think of Kundalini as a river flowing from a glacier.

The point where Kundalini rests at the root chakra is like the glacier from which the river begins. Consciousness—the divine masculine, Shiva—is the ocean.

From the root chakra, the river of Kundalini begins her journey upwards through the chakras towards the ocean of consciousness at the crown and beyond.

When the river meets the ocean, the journey of separation is over. But something new begins: the river is no longer a small current; it becomes the vast, powerful ocean itself.

This is the union of Shiva and Shakti, the union of yin and yang, the union of divine masculine and divine feminine.

Once union happens, an entirely new kind of life begins.

Powers After Union: Healing and High-Voltage Energy

After this union, the energy wants to flow through you powerfully to perform certain acts connected with the welfare of others—such as healing.

You may receive electrified currents of energy from the universe. Through your crown chakra, in subtle realms, powers get downloaded into your nervous system.

Your body gradually becomes a circuit. Before this, Kundalini was doing the preparation work: soldering the wires, making the brain and nervous system sensitive enough to handle high voltage.

This sensitivity you feel in your brain and nervous system is not a defect. It is the soldering process, transforming you into a powerful circuit through which divine energy can flow.

The brain, however, does not understand this process. In millions of births of ordinary evolution, it has never experienced such high voltage. So it reacts with fear, triggering fight-or-flight responses in the body.

For the brain, Kundalini initially appears as a threat. That is why health and conscious support of the nervous system are crucial in this journey.

Health as the First Priority in Your Journey

In your total journey, your health must be the first focus.

I have techniques to strengthen your brain and nervous system through:

  • The way you eat food
  • Conscious, energy-aware eating
  • Specific lifestyle adjustments
  • Breathwork and grounding practices

In each session, I introduce one or two techniques. Whatever I teach in the previous session, you must make it a practice and integrate it into your daily life.

It is like doing a degree—say, a master’s in self-evolution. Session by session, you collect credits:

  • First session: one practice
  • Second session: second practice added to the first
  • Third session: third practice added to the first two
  • And so on

Over time, this consistent homework transforms your system and allows you to receive the full benefit of everything being transmitted.

Transmission and Clearing of Kundalini Blockages

I also have the power to transmit energy and move Kundalini directly.

When your energy channels are open enough, I can:

  • Move your Kundalini
  • Clear blockages through techniques and direct power transmission
  • Facilitate her movement where she is stuck

I am both the cleaner and the facilitator. I know how Kundalini moves and what is required to support her. This is my purpose with you.

In all of this, breath plays a central role.

Breath and Prana: The Prime Mover of Kundalini

Breath is the prime mover of Kundalini because through breath, prana moves.

Normal, unconscious breathing moves prana in an ordinary way. But when you move your breath consciously, you move prana consciously, and prana is the fuel of Kundalini.

There are two crucial elements in this journey:

  • Your attention
  • Your prana

Attention is the currency of consciousness. If you want to increase the power of consciousness, you must start by observing where your attention goes.

I will teach you how to:

  • Withdraw your attention from draining objects
  • Increase the power of focused attention
  • Direct attention to specific inner points, especially the third eye

This brings us to the key practice I shared with Anthony—a powerful external breath-hold technique.

The Business Metaphor: Capital, Assets, and Liabilities

To understand your current state, imagine you are starting a business.

At the beginning of a business, you must know:

  • Your capital
  • Your assets
  • Your liabilities

In this spiritual business:

  • Consciousness is your capital. Without consciousness, no journey happens.
  • Your assets are all the high vibrations in you: love, joy, peace, compassion, appreciation, gratitude.
  • Your liabilities are your mind-based patterns and egoic tendencies.

If you are not aware of your liabilities—how they distract you, create friction, pull you away from consciousness—your business will not be profitable.

Balancing liabilities does not mean suppressing desires. It means transforming them so that their net effect becomes zero.

In spiritual accounting, the ideal equation is:

  • Capital (Consciousness) = Assets (high vibrations) + Liabilities (ego/mind)

For true freedom, liabilities must come to zero, assets must be at 100, and consciousness must shine fully.

Impurities, Old Imprints, and Unexpected Emotions

Liabilities are like impurities. You cannot carry even a small amount of impurity into complete freedom.

Some impurities you know—anger, greed, insecurity, jealousy—and you can consciously work on them. But many are buried in your subtle body from past births:

  • From lives as a criminal
  • From lives in extreme poverty
  • From lives in fear and lack

Suddenly, in the present life, you may feel emotions that do not match your current circumstances. For example:

Your wife talks to a male friend in a normal way, but you feel intense jealousy. In your whole life you may never have been in real lack or deeply insecure, yet this emotion arises strongly.

Who feels jealous? The part that is inferior and insecure.

Kundalini will ensure such hidden impurities come to the surface. If you respond unconsciously—arguing, accusing, reacting blindly—you damage your relationship and reinforce the pattern.

If you respond consciously, using viveka (discrimination), you ask: Why am I feeling this? What is this energy? You recognize that it is an old karmic imprint arising to be dissolved.

Because you are with me in this journey, you are safe. Many problems that were about to manifest dramatically in your life can be handled energetically and consciously instead.

When your consciousness is high, you feel protected. You do not react; you respond. You say to yourself, Let me work on myself first.

Consciousness as Masculine Force and Kundalini as Feminine Purpose

Consciousness is the masculine energy-force of the universe—powerful, clear, and stable. Kundalini is the divine feminine energy whose purpose is to meet this masculine consciousness and unite with it.

This union is not only personal. It is cosmic.

Even the Big Bang—the explosion that gave rise to stars and galaxies—can be understood as the union of these two forces. A powerful masculine principle and a powerful feminine principle united, and a gigantic blast occurred. From that, particles scattered, forming stars, worlds, and all forms we see.

This is not just poetic. Scientists have arrived at a Big Bang model, but they still wonder why it happened. When you reach the state of union within, you intuitively know.

With access to this universal intelligence, you can travel through any question. Whatever you truly need to know, you come to know. Confusion dissolves. The mind gradually bows down to consciousness.

Your body is no longer you. It is an instrument.

The Prime Practice: Third Eye Focus and External Breath-Hold

Now I share with you the key practice I gave Anthony—a powerful technique I myself use and apply to those in the last stages of freedom.

This practice rests on three pillars:

  • Breath (especially the external breath-hold)
  • The third eye point
  • Focused attention

Step One: Understand the Third Eye Point

There is a subtle point from where you perceive everything. It lies in the region of your forehead and the back of your head—deep inside, behind the space between the eyebrows.

When I say, “Focus on your third eye,” I mean:

  • Let your attention settle at this inner point of perception.
  • Feel that you are located there, as awareness, looking out from that center.

The practice is to learn to go back to this point again and again and again.

How to Do the Breath-Hold Technique

Find a quiet place. Sit comfortably with your spine relatively straight. Covering your eyes with a soft cloth or eye mask can help retain energy and withdraw attention from external stimuli.

Keep your mouth and facial muscles relaxed.

Now follow this pattern:

  1. Inhale slowly
    • Breathe in gently through the nose.
    • Let the inhalation be smooth and unforced.
  2. Exhale completely with active belly movement
    • Exhale either through the nose or through the mouth.
    • As you exhale, consciously pull your belly inwards towards the spine.
    • At the end of the exhalation, your abdomen should be tucked deeply inside.
    • Make sure you remove as much air as is comfortable from the lungs.
  3. Hold the breath out (external breath-hold)
    • After exhalation, keep the belly drawn in.
    • Hold your breath with the lungs empty.
    • Keep your eyes closed and your attention at the third eye.
    • Remain in this state as long as it is comfortably sustainable.
    • Do not strain to the point of panic; let it be intense but conscious.
  4. Release and allow a few normal breaths
    • When you need to inhale, relax the belly and breathe in.
    • Take a few normal, effortless breaths.
    • Let the body breathe on its own for a short while.
  5. Repeat the cycle
    • Once the breath normalizes, repeat steps 1–4.
    • Maintain the inner focus at the third eye throughout.

The crucial point is this: if you miss the step of strongly tucking the belly inward at the end of exhalation and holding the breath out, you will not get the full results of this technique.

Why External Breath-Hold Is So Powerful

This external breath-hold creates a kind of internal pressure in the energy body.

That pressure:

  • Pulls Kundalini upward
  • Brings her towards the center (towards higher chakras and towards consciousness)
  • Facilitates her movement along the subtle channels

Every time you perform this consciously, some progress happens.

You may not feel dramatic changes each time, but energetically, Kundalini is moving. Over many repetitions, a day will come when 100% of this movement is completed and you are free—energetically liberated.

This is why I ask seekers like Anthony to do this practice at least 100 times, spread over days and weeks, and to treat it as a sacred homework.

Attention: The Role of Consciousness in the Practice

While you do this practice, remember:

  • Attention is being paid by consciousness, not by the mind.
  • When I say, “Pay attention to your third eye,” I am activating the masculine quality in you.

So as you exhale and hold the breath out, feel:

  • Consciousness sitting at the third eye, witnessing the body.
  • Kundalini being gently drawn upward by this combination of breath, pressure, and attention.

During the breath-hold:

  • Stay with your existence.
  • Feel your own presence.
  • Stay with the sense of I am behind the breath.

The more you hold the breath out (within your comfortable limit), the more powerful the effect.

Entering the State of Stillness and Nothingness

As you repeat the cycles, something subtle begins to happen:

  • The mind quiets down.
  • The body becomes still.
  • A sense of nothingness or spaciousness opens inside.

You may notice:

  • Difficulty in opening your eyes fully because you have gone so deeply into the subtle.
  • A sense that the external world has changed or that you are seeing it from far away.
  • A deep peace in your heart.
  • A profound stillness within.

When this state arises, do not rush out of it. Stay with it. Enjoy it. Let it saturate your nervous system.

Extending and Integrating the Practice

Once you taste this deep state, remain in it as long as you naturally feel to.

Then:

  • Continue the breath-hold cycles for 10–15 more minutes if possible.
  • After completing the practice, lie down in Shavasana (corpse pose) on your back.
  • Do nothing. Let the body integrate.

When you rise from Shavasana, observe:

  • What has changed in your perception?
  • What has shifted in your body or emotions?
  • How does the world feel now?

If you are working directly with me, you can share your experiences after each practice session. That allows me to guide you to the exact next step and, if needed, point you to specific videos or teachings that match your current stage.

Think of this as a living course in consciousness and energy.

Using an Eye Cover to Retain Energy

To deepen the practice, cover your eyes with an eye mask or a folded handkerchief.

This helps:

  • Reduce external sensory input
  • Turn your attention fully inward
  • Retain the subtle energy around the head and third eye

Practice the same breath-hold technique with your eyes gently covered and notice the difference. Usually, the state of stillness becomes stronger and more stable.

The Next Steps on Your Path

For the next phase of your journey:

  • Practice this external breath-hold technique regularly, with complete awareness.
  • Focus on strengthening your health, brain, and nervous system.
  • Observe your assets and liabilities—your higher vibrations and your mind’s patterns.
  • Use every emerging emotion or reaction as a mirror to see what karma is surfacing.
  • Remember that consciousness (masculine) and Kundalini (feminine) are moving towards union within you.

I have extended this teaching so that you can experience the state fully, not just think about it.

Practice for 10–15 minutes at a time, multiple times if you feel called. Over time, the pressure created by the external breath-hold at the third eye will move Kundalini in exactly the way needed for your path to freedom.

Bless you.
