In this discourse, techniques are shared and awareness is brought to how to be free from ADHD symptoms.

Understanding Symptoms and Causes

First of all, you need to know the symptoms and the causes behind the condition you are facing. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Syndrome happens due to multiple reasons. One of the reasons is your addictions, which is the most important reason. Your addictions are leading to your wastage of energy. Whatever energy that you take or your body produces for functioning of your brain, nervous system, and overall health is going into addictions.

Addictions are not limited to one or two. It is a series of addictions. Some of the addictions you may be having all or some of them, but it is the prime cause behind your leakage of energy. Your brain is not receiving an adequate amount of oxygen because you are leaking it in these addictions.

The Attention Leak: Social Media and Attention-Seeking

So: your addiction to social media.

Talking to strangers on social media and taking their attention for your egoic desires and to fulfill your mind’s need is a major pattern. Since you are lacking attention, you are all the time seeking attention from other people. This is happening and leading to other problems of attention-seeking behavior. You have this problem also along with ADHD; you have a sub-problem also.

You are seeking attention of other people because you are having less supply of attention with yourself. And once you are addicted to social media, consider from where you are addicted. Do you get addicted by working on a laptop, or being on a laptop or computer? Or are you addicted to your smartphone? You are into all the social media accounts.

These keep on stealing your valuable energy all the time. Your attention is your currency of consciousness, and when you are leaking your attention on these platforms, you are leaking your valuable currency. And what are you getting in return? Tiredness, lack of focus, lack of direction in life, lack of life purpose. Since you have wasted your energy on these platforms, you are also buying experience of that nature.

Not only are you wasting your valuable energy of attention when you are interacting with these people, you are also getting in exchange the desires of these people: the lower energies of these people. The people with whom you interact are in negative energy, lower energy, or in the lower radiating energy. They don’t just interact with you; they share with you their personal desires, problems or struggles, or lower vibrational energy of lust, anger, frustration.

So when you are paying attention to these people, you are also buying in exchange their energy field. You are actually transporting their energy field into your energy field. And when your energy field is filled with so much information—unnecessary information about the world that you don’t need—your brain goes into freeze mode, because your brain is not designed to collect information about other people’s life.

Freeze Mode: How the Nervous System Locks Up

Your primitive brain is designed to protect you, to take care of you. When it goes into freeze mode, your sympathetic breathing is activated. Your autonomic, autonomous nervous system is hyper-activated, and it keeps you in alert mode. It takes away all your energy towards hold. It means that your solar plexus is on hold. When your solar plexus is on hold, you are not breathing.

When you are not breathing, you are not supplying oxygen and other essential nutrition to your cells. When your cells are not producing energy, your brain is not receiving oxygen and not receiving energy to rejuvenate. Your nerve cells need good quality of energy to rejuvenate. When you are filled with low quality of energy—dramatic energy, energy of anger, fear, frustration—then automatically your brain and nervous system perceive this as danger.

Never in the evolution of human beings was the brain designed to respond to trolling comments or an overdose of communication with so many people apart from you or your family members. Look at yourself. If you are spending time on social media interacting with strangers, everyone knows everything about you because you have the tendency to share your most private information with these people.

And when you are sharing your private information with these strangers, your brain goes into threat mode. It goes into freeze mode. The amygdala in your brain is responsible for saving you. When these people peep into your life, or they know about your life so much, your brain does not feel safe and your amygdala continuously keeps the freeze mode on, and that keeps your breath on hold.

It leads to cessation of breath, and when breath ceases, what happens? Your body’s other part—that is, the parasympathetic mode—goes into an extreme level of freeze mode. The freeze mode happens due to excessive parasympathetic mode or excessive sympathetic mode. You need to understand this: if all the time stress hormones are getting released in your system—cortisol and adrenaline—then the body finds it difficult to cope with the condition and it goes into freeze mode.

At the same time, if nothing is happening in your life, when you are seeing other people function, you go into depression, you go into agony, you go into that lower energy where you feel too much of stuck. The energy of stuckness happens due to your discretionary energy. In that mode you do not feel like functioning because the hold is due to the over-activation of parasympathetic mode in this dimension. So freeze mode is not necessarily associated only with sympathetic breathing or the autonomic nervous system. It is connected to your parasympathetic exceeding its limit.

The balance should be: it should happen. The parasympathetic breathing and sympathetic breathing should happen in a balanced way to keep your vagus nerve or vagal tone functioning. Your diaphragm should keep on moving up and down. But what is happening when you are spending too much time on social media addictions? You are keeping your system always in alert mode and that is leading to your breath hold.

This leads to stoppage of diaphragm. The diaphragm remains on hold; no activity is going on. Your intra-abdominal pressure is not happening because the diaphragm is not moving up and down. When you are out of the freeze mode, your diaphragm will move. When diaphragm will move, your lungs, your heart, and all the organs in your digestive tract will move, and they will function well for producing the energy.

You have to go to the basic science behind how energy is produced. ADHD is the end result of your unconscious addictions, but consciously you can change everything that is happening. How you can change will be covered after first knowing what is leading to the conditions of ADHD.

The Shopping Spiral and Overwork Burnout

Addictions to social media are followed by addiction to shopping. When you are too much into social media, you also get the feeling to buy unnecessarily because you have to show off. If you yourself are having so many social media accounts, then you also click pictures. You also create reels, shorts, videos, or anything to show off. So you are doing a lot of shopping. From where are the money or the expenses for this shopping coming? This is coming from your own efforts.

Either you are working too late, or you are taking money from your parents, or you are taking from your spouse, family members, or you yourself are working too much: overuse of your body, overuse of your brain, nervous system. If you can work only for eight hours per day and get the needs fulfilled for your life, you are working for ten hours, twenty hours, any number of hours, one hundred hours per week—which is exhausting you.

It is leading to your burnout condition. You are supplying your body with less quality and less volume of oxygen and prana and everything that it needs, but you are extracting more from it. What is going to happen? Stress, anxiety, tension, hyper-activation, over-ventilation. You are doing chest breathing. You are taking more oxygen and giving out less carbon dioxide.

There are many aspects of understanding your ADHD condition. You have to reverse everything that has taken place, and that relates to your change in breath patterns. You should change the response of your nervous system. Your respiratory system has gone into freeze mode that monitors breathing. Your respiratory system centers are like gears—gears of your nervous system.

If you want to go into the calm and rest-and-digest mode, you have to change the gear towards parasympathetic breathing. If you want to come back active into life, then you have to change the gear towards sympathetic breathing.

Breathing Centers and Rhythmic Diaphragm

Moving your diaphragm into rhythmic motion is possible only through your respiratory centers. They monitor your breath patterns: the inspiration, the hold in between, the functioning of your lungs, heart, diaphragm, your central nervous system. Everything is monitored by your breathing centers. The brainstem contains this breathing center—the medulla and pons. How they function can be known in detail later.

Fundamentally, you need to know that your breathing is seized; it is on hold. It is due to your over-activation or over-participation in shopping unnecessarily. You are buying things that you do not need, to impress people whom you do not like, or who do not matter to you, and wasting your life energy which comes from your attention.

The Sexual Energy Drain: Porn, Masturbation, and Dopamine

The next set of addiction is: since you are radiating lower, you are filled with lust energy. You are filled with lower energies of negativity—demons and negative forces—that keep you all the time in over-indulgence in sexual activity. It is not directly sexual activity; it could start from your addiction to porn that is leading to your addiction to masturbation.

When you are masturbating, you are actually wasting the most important fluid needed for your brain: semen. The semen is the cerebrospinal fluid that is responsible for your brain’s health along with your oxygen supply. Your semen, the life force, the minerals, and everything that is in the semen goes to the rejuvenation of your nervous system and brain health. When you are losing your semen through chronic masturbating, you are losing your brain, and your brain cannot function.

Your left brain is not able to perform its function of cognition. Memory loss is happening to you, and many other decision-making skills. Everything is gone because your brain no more works. Your left brain does not function well again. Your right brain—the creative brain, intuitive brain, instinctive brain—is not functioning well. So what will happen to you?

How will you focus in life? How will you concentrate? How will you work? How will you become productive to grow more? It may feel like a terror to you listening to all this truth, but it is the reality. Look at yourself. What you have become. There is no shame in your exposure in your field. There is no charisma in your presence.

Your aura is so thin because when you are addicted to masturbation and porn, you are losing your semen, and that is leading to thinning of your protective layer around you, the energetic layer around you. The gray matter and white matter in the brain that is responsible for your brain health is not created. You have Alzheimer-kind of condition. You have other mental health conditions apart from ADHD. So you need to understand that addiction to porn and masturbation is central.

When you are radiating so low that your brain is not working, you go into a psychosis-kind of condition. You go into immediate release of dopamine—and how do you do it? You do it again and again. Watching porn endlessly is free of cost. It doesn’t cost you much in terms of money. In terms of time you are wasting your life. In terms of energy you are wasting everything. In terms of attention you are wasting everything. But it is easily accessible.

So what happens? Your dopamine dose is overdosed. You are going for cheap dopamine instead of working on your life purpose, instead of working on your health and taking up challenges in life, taking the risk in life. You are going for the easy route that is doing a job under someone, or working towards a job which doesn’t serve you.

You don’t feel good about your job. In fact, you hate your job. Still, you are doing it because you are addicted. Since you are addicted, you are less productive. Since you are less productive, you are in the same work or job for years. There is a negative loop in your life that is never broken. You work throughout the week, or you are in a business or something which is of stagnant nature.

There is no progress in your life in terms of your wealth creation. There is no equation of investment, saving, and expenses. Your expenses are exceeding your income, your saving is zero, and there is no investment because all your income is going into addictions, which are expenses. That is leading to newer types of addictions. Excessive involvement in porn and masturbation also leads to unnecessary sexual activity with wrong partners or multiple partners.

You are wasting your life. You are getting cheated all the time because your brain doesn’t work and you are easily manipulated by quick fixes. Everyone is going to use you, and that happens. You are being cheated. You also cheat because you are also radiating with that energy. You sleep with multiple partners. You welcome and attract poor-quality partners in your life.

Those are not partners; these are only sexual partners for that activity. When you do this sexual activity, you are doing it unconsciously, not using protection. When you are not using protection, you are going into other HIV and HPV and many other sexually transmitted diseases, and that leads to more diseases. Ultimately you are destroying your life; this is for sure.

This leads to more depression, more anxiety, and chronic brain health issues. Again, when you are involved in all these activities of sexual nature, you are not doing it in a divine way. You are addicted to alcohol. You are addicted to stale food, junk food. You are eating all kinds of nonsense food. You are eating too much food with lower energy—meat and other seafood or anything that is getting that energy. The energy is going into your system. How your brain will respond you know, because it is your experience.

Then the other aspects: addiction to alcohol, addiction to smoking weed, and many other addictions, vaping. There is no end to it.

All the intoxication comes to you starting from one addiction: the addiction to get attention from other people. That leads to so many other addictions because you yourself are not having the raw material to feel complete. These were all physical aspects of your ADHD problem.

Energetic Aspects: Prana, Environment, and Stagnation

Now coming to the energetic aspect.

If you say that you have no addictions, nothing; you are living a good life; you are a very simple and sober person; you have a good character; you are not into any addictions; still you have ADHD—then you are not supplying your body with good quality of prana and oxygen. This is the most important factor behind your ADHD condition.

Eight to nine or ten hours of spending time in AC is taking away all your ojas. It is depleting your resource of prana. Or you are living in a whole stagnant, depressive state and not able to move due to your other health issues. Then also you are having ADHD problems. Or you are addicted to your victimhood. You like to be stagnant.

You like to remain and cry on your problems. Maybe you have gone through some traumatic events in your life and you remain stagnant. These could also be the reasons behind your ADHD issues. Whatever may be the causes, the solution is to retrain and train your nervous system—retrain your nervous system to breathe well and supply prana and oxygen to your brain.

Core Solution: Conscious Living and Breath-Led Rejuvenation

If you breathe in the most potent way, your brain and nervous system will be rejuvenated. Also, you need to work on your food habits. If you are eating unconsciously, then also your ADHD problem will be aggravated. You need to return to the conscious way of living life. The solution is to start living consciously. You have to change your life. You have to change the way you function in life.

Work on conscious living, conscious breathing, conscious eating, conscious drinking, conscious communication, conscious choice of work, conscious communication and conversation with people. You should be able to choose every aspect of your life and keep your attention with yourself. Technique: Purification of the Energy Channels (Step-by-Step)

One of the most powerful breathing techniques that works well for activation of breathing centers—respiratory centers—is purification of the energy channels.

How to practice:

  1. Inhale from your right nostril.
    Keep your breath held for 3 to 5 seconds.
  2. Exhale from your left nostril.
    Hold your breath again for 3 to 5 seconds.
  3. Then exhale from your right nostril.

Counting guidance:

  • You can take four counts for the inhale, or take a complete natural breath as you feel.
  • Keep the breath on hold.

  • When inhaling, the belly should move up.

  • Round Two: Inhale. Hold. Exhale. Hold. Release.
  • Round Three: Inhale. Hold. Exhale. Hold.
  • This can be modified based on your energy. Two to three rounds are demonstrated here; you can do multiple rounds.
