Relieve Stress in 5 Minutes with This Powerful Technique

Guru Sanju

Stress can be released quickly—within just five minutes—if you understand the root cause and apply the right method. The number one reason for stress is this: your breath is not in your control. When the breath becomes erratic, the nervous system becomes unstable, and stress takes over. But if you bring the breath back into rhythm, the mind and body will follow.

Let us begin the practice.

Step 1: Regulate the Breath with Rhythmic Inhalation and Exhalation

Begin by inhaling slowly through your nose.
Then, exhale gently through your mouth—as if you are sighing out all tension.

Inhale…
Exhale slowly and softly through the mouth… like this: “haaaaa…”

Do this now for several rounds. Aim for at least ten. You may go up to 15 or 20, or continue until you feel deeply relaxed.

It’s important to create a rhythm—a gentle, flowing cycle of breath. Let it become continuous, like waves. If you are in a public place or outdoors and cannot close your eyes, keep them open and simply focus on the rhythm of your breath.

Step 2: Full Body Tapping to Dissipate Energy Congestion

After rhythmic breathing, we begin full-body tapping. This helps release blocked or stagnant energy stored in the body tissues and nervous system.

Begin tapping gently but firmly using the tips of your fingers or the palm of your hand. Tap across the following regions in a flowing sequence:

  • Top of the head and scalp
  • Forehead, temples, cheeks, and chin
  • Neck, shoulders, and collarbone
  • Chest, especially the center of the sternum (heart chakra area)
  • Diaphragm and abdomen
  • Solar plexus (just above the navel)
  • Lower abdomen and pelvic region
  • Buttocks and sacrum
  • Thighs, knees, inner thighs
  • Calves, shins, ankles
  • Tops of feet and soles
  • Return again to face for a final round

Use both hands. Tap rhythmically, not aggressively. If you notice that a specific region (such as the abdomen or solar plexus) feels heavy, painful, or energetically tight, spend more time tapping there. That is where energy is locked, and tapping will help release it.

Step 3: Observe and Let Go

As you tap, notice where your body feels resistance, pain, or numbness. These are signs of energetic congestion. Stay longer on those areas. Tap while exhaling through the mouth to let go of built-up emotional or physical stress.

For example, if you feel a knot in your stomach, focus your tapping there while softly exhaling. This will allow the energy to move and release.

Step 4: Repeat as Needed—Stress is Energy

You may repeat this full breath-and-tap sequence multiple times a day. It takes only five minutes each time but has the power to reset your entire nervous system and release stress that has been building up over hours or even days.

Understand this: Stress is not always situational. It is energetic.
Whether it stems from relationships, finances, health, or emotional trauma—stress is simply energy stuck in the body. This technique helps release that stuck energy immediately.

Closing Words

So what are you waiting for?
