If you look into the eyes of a small child, you may find it difficult to distinguish whether the child is a boy or a girl. This is because the masculine or feminine energy hasn’t yet emerged as a dominant trait.

As the child grows and reaches puberty, masculine energy begins to assert itself more strongly in a male body. This is marked by physical, emotional, and behavioral changes typically associated with becoming a man. A teenager’s transformation into adulthood brings with it the awakening of deeper masculine traits that shape how he operates in the world.

Let’s take an ideal journey: a boy is born into a stable environment, receives proper education, and grows up to be a responsible man. In his teenage years, he excels academically. He graduates from college, perhaps even completes post-graduate or doctoral studies. By the age of 25 to 35, he begins to experience the peak of his masculine potential.
This stage demands that he confront the challenges of the world with his masculine energy—especially through work, competition, and interaction with other men. The dance of masculine and feminine energies continues, but here, masculine energy drives external functioning, ambition, and contribution.

But Shiva does not remain in meditation forever. Masculine energy, once it discovers truth within, naturally seeks to express it. A man feels complete only when he can give, share, or create something meaningful from that inner discovery.
