Spiritual Awakening and the Emotional Roller Coaster

During the spiritual awakening journey, many experience an uncontrollable emotional roller coaster—sudden waves of intense emotions such as fear, anger, guilt, shame, or profound sadness. These arise not only from past traumas or thoughts but often emerge without any apparent reason. The emotional surges can feel as though they come from nowhere—one moment you are calm, the next you’re overwhelmed.

This is not a flaw in your process. These emotional fluctuations are part of the energetic and spiritual cleansing that happens as your spirit evolves and karmic residues rise to be released. These reactions might be linked to unresolved experiences not just from this lifetime but also from previous births.

So, instead of endlessly analyzing the cause or trying to suppress them, it is essential to know how to release these charges and move the energy out of the system.

Where Are These Emotions Stored?

Most of these emotions are trapped in the lower chakras—from the root chakra to the solar plexus. These include energies like:

  • Fear
  • Guilt
  • Shame
  • Blame
  • Anger
  • Lust
  • Jealousy
  • Sadness

These energies can congest your system and leave you feeling sluggish, heavy, and unmotivated. To restore your natural energetic flow, follow these step-by-step techniques each time you experience emotional overwhelm.

Step 1: Diaphragmatic Pressure Release

To begin, place the palm of your hand with slightly cupped fingers over the center of your solar plexus—right beneath your rib cage, where your diaphragm is located. Apply firm but comfortable pressure.

While maintaining the pressure, begin to vocalize the release using a deep vibrating tone:

“Ohhhh… ohhhh…”

Repeat this several times. This step helps unlock the trauma stored in your diaphragm and nervous system, allowing the emotional energy to loosen and surface.

Step 2: Forceful Breath Release (Apana Detox)

Now that you’ve activated the emotional charge, use forceful exhalations to push it out.

Exhale sharply through your mouth, as if expelling the energy:

“Huhh… huhh… huhhh…”

Do this continuously, and if you feel like drinking water in between, do so. It supports the flushing out of toxins.

You may notice burping, yawning, or gas release—these are signs of energetic detox. Continue the process until you feel a shift or lightness in your body.

Step 3: Recharging with Pranic Inhalation

Just like jumpstarting a car that’s been sluggish, your body needs a recharge. Once the old energy is released, begin fast-paced breathing to infuse your system with fresh oxygen and prana.

Breathe in and out rapidly but smoothly:

Inhale through the nose – Exhale through the nose.

Then slow down:

Inhale slowly – Exhale slowly.

This will activate your cells, nourish your nervous system, and initiate internal movement. You will start to feel energetically alive.

Step 4: Activate Movement to Unblock Prana

Once you feel the energy has begun to circulate, begin light physical activity. If you’re standing, pick up a broom and start sweeping. If sitting, begin rhythmic leg and hip movements.

Whatever the movement, keep a long exhalation going:

“Haaaaa…”

This clears lingering emotional fog, activates the pelvic floor and thighs, and awakens the root energy—getting your “engine” running again.

This isn’t just symbolic. The motion stimulates the nadis (energy channels) and supports full-body release of toxins and negative vibrations.

Step 5: Full Emotional Reset

Continue the movement and long exhalations until you break into a sweat or feel light and fresh. This signals a full emotional and energetic reset. The breath, motion, and prana begin to purify your inner system—removing the weight of the emotional roller coaster and restoring clarity.

Use this method every time an intense emotional wave arrives. Spiritual awakening is not a one-time event. It’s a continuous process of cleansing and realigning. Each wave is an opportunity for deeper freedom.
